I just don't see it being a clear khan victory.

Peterson fought a great fight tactically ,but the ref was constantly on khans back all he does is call khans name out for the entire fight , come on Kahn stop that Kahn , fight Kahn, let him go Kahn , just watch it back . But it was ok for Peterson to hustle him and be dangerous with the head ? At one point in the last round Kahn catches him with a left hook and you see the ref grimace . If that's not bais I don't know what is and why did it take so long to add the cards up ???? . Very good entertaining fight though .

    I had it 113-112 Khan.

Looking at the official cards it seems the 10th was the pivotal round with 2 judges scoring it to Lamont. I'll have to re-watch it.

Poor referee, at no point was Lamont warned for use of the head (which was frequent imo). Looking forward to the rematch.

I actually had this 115-110 for Khan. Peterson put up a very good fight and worked very effectively on the inside. But lets take a look at the refs conduct in the fight:

    1) He was constantly nagging like a woman
    2) Peterson was leaning on Khan with his head therefore Khan was pushing him back
    3) Peterson constantly kept his head low and got warned many times but why was there not a point deduction for him?
    4) Khan had his hands tied up at point at the Ref says fight on Khan -
    5) For at least 70% of the fight all I heard from the Ref was Khan fight on even if Peterson was leaning on him on the ropes liek a wrestler.
    6) Ref had poor positioning all throughout the fight

Khan showed some weaknesses on the inside and the machismo didn't do him any good. We all know he can take a decent punch and has good endurance. Personally I think he made this fight harder for himself but I can understand the frustration he must have had with the constant nagging from the most incompetent ref boxing has seen for a while.

I don't really have a problem with it 'cos of Peterson's come forward aggression, while Khan was trying to hold a lot and Peterson was just ramming them shots in.

George Hill had rd 7 has a 10-9 for Khan, then afetr the point deduction give it 10-8 to Peterson, you can clearly see the 10 crossed out for Khan.

Why didn't George Hill give rd 7 9-9 as he did rd 12? The crossing out of the 10 clearly shows that he felt Khan won the round and changed the score after the point deduction.

Very poor one-eyed excuses. Whats wrong with keeping your head low? How many head clashes were there resulting from Peterson's apparently dangerous tactics? Exactly.

The main fouling was Khan's pushing to avoid being put in places where he's weak. He was rightly punished, you can't do that. If that was allowed inside fighters would be at a huge disadvantage against boxers, and the day that happens is the day we lose a wide range of styles.

That isn't the actual judge's scorecard, just someone collecting the scores together.

As a result, the person writing it down likely took down the wrong score initially then realised their mistake.

Just went to boxrec saw Khan's record and saw that the point in final round was deducted for 'hitting on break'. Can anyone confirm this is the truth?. I believed it confirmed in ref's mind to deduct the point but thought it was for pushing.
