I agree with Rico. Chagaev can take way more punishment than Haye, and therefore, this may be a little like the Peter fight without Wlad tasting the canvas.
Haye goes down hard and fast if they ever fight.

Taking more punishment does not does not equal a better chance of winning; unless, you were also able to dish out some punishment. Chagaev cannot dish it out.

Having a Chin means Chagaev will be around in the fight and have a chance. What if Wlad gasses or has a panic attack? Haye and his Glass Jaw had no shot. Do you honestly think Haye could take the right hand Brock or Thompson or Byrd did? No way in hell.

I think Wlad wins but I think people are trying to downplay Chagaev's chances he is an undefeated Heavyweight and a title holder.

Fighters that have good Chin's will ALWAYS have a chance of a victory just for the reason that they will be around in the fight instead of knocked out early.

People due to their hatred of Wlad are not giving this fight a fair chance.

    :good

id like chag to win but wlads height/reach advantage might get him.

TKO - good possibility of a chagaev cut

By that logic a fighter with no arms and a good chin stands a chance of winning. I don't hate Wlad. On the contrary, I think Wlad is a good fighter, and that's why this fight will be lame. Because Klitschko is a very good fighter and Chagaev is ordinary at best.

    nothing above is false.
you can not use good cruiserweight performances to assume that one's future at heavyweight will be just as good or better.

23 scrubs and best win is either a close one with the slowmotion giant or an extremely close battle with a slightly past it Ruiz. Tell you what. When Chagaev makes it to the Hall of Fame or if he defeats Wlad, I'll take back my "ordinary" comment.

He has a couple high level wins on his resume, but all of which were by SD or MD. He has yet to have a dominant win over any top 10 oppenent, which makes me think he has little to no chance against Wlad.

I see the fight going one of two ways, Wlad coming out via Austin type destruction early in the fight looking to make a statement. Though the safest best, is Wlad doing his basic jab and grab for the first 5 or 6 rounds, and then when Chagaev is tired physically and beat down mentally, Wlad will start letting the right hand go more freely. Since Chagaev has a chin, I see him lasting a couple more rounds than most, and getting TKO'd in the 9th or 10th round.
