You want a recent example look at the Wlad Klitschko vs Sam Peter fight. Peter was getting outclassed because he had no skill but his Chin kept him in the fight he knocked Wlad down in the 10th round I think. That is what I am talking about a fighter being able to hang in there and have a chance late in the fight. It only takes one punch in this sport.

You can't have a chance if your Glass Jaw gets shattered in the 3rd round or so.

As far as the Klitschko-Chagaev fight goes just give it a chance that is all I am asking if it is a stinker come back here and call me an idiot. We don't know how the fight is going to go and just because Wlad had a boring fight with Ibragimov it does not mean the Chagaev fight will be ****.

That's good. the euro guys aren't easily understood, except maybe Boystov, who may be the man.
I'm with you on this one.

I just wonder what Chagaev has left, and is he a better oppenent than Iggy or do you see them both on the same level skill wise?

I am going to have to see the paperwork that proves this is the *official* Wlad Chagaev thread, or else I won't post in it.

I think IGGY has more boxing abilities-in fact, IGGy is no sloach.
    Forgot about him.

I agree, Iggy is a pretty defensive fighter. He used to be more offensive unitl his ass got knocked around by another big man in Ray Austin. Though I did predict Chagaev was going to beat Iggy when they fought, based off his uninspiring fights against Briggs and Holyfield right before that fight suppose to take place.

Chaegev has a good amateur pedigree, a solid chin, decent power, has fought well against bigger fighters-not just valuev, crafty southpaw who is technically a sound fighter. This will be a lot more competitive than people give it-even if you have exprience it's no easy task training to fight a southpaw in in less than three weeks. I expect Wlad to win, but wouldn't surprise me if it goes the distance.

I think this fight will go the distance. Chagaev will have early success and will land a few left hands but he will fade after the first couple rounds and Wladimir will slowly take over and win a Unanimous Decision.

It really is a no win situation for Wlad if he beats Chaegev easily-the haters will likley claim-among the few-that Chaegev was washed, injured, and you'll get plethora of Hepetatis B insults. If Wlad struggles-and I think he will to a degree-they'll proclaim that Haye would of easily KO Wlad and etc.

When the fight actually plays out, if Klitschko doesn't win in dominant fashion, which will likely bore most audiences, he will probably be heavily criticized given the circumstances of the event.

Klitschko's higher skill level and overall dominance will be apparent as early as the first round or second round and you will see the frusteration on Chagaev's face.

The ball is in Klitschko's hands for this one. If he doesn't take a risk in this fight, he will not be ready for Haye and he will get knocked out.

Because Haye does make mistakes, but Haye is also not afraid to take someone to war.

[DM][/DM]Since when Wlad has destryoed somebody, the last fighter he destroyed was a old journeyman named Ray Austin.

Just to clarify......by destroy, I mean let the knock out come in the late rounds and then put him down..........destory is just a newsworthy word......****.

But this fight ain't no classic, that's for damn sure.

    Chagaev ain't ****.

I'm still looking forward to seeing it, because you never know when Wlad will melt like an ice cream cone again. In all seriousness, I just hope Chagaev puts up a fight. I mean what the **** does he got to lose by coming out swinging for the fences? He's going to get laid out anyway later in the fight, you might as well see if you can tap that weak ass chin of Wlads before he starts to get comfortable behind the jab and grab style thats kept him safe since becoming champ in 06.
