Chagaev have the boxingskills, southpow, good footwork, fast hands, fights on the inside, and "the second attack" before Wlad is back in fighting position and this could be the way to frusstrait Wlad and win some rounds. If somebody could take a UD, it is Chagaev :good. All he has to do is to stay clear of Wlads jab and strait right for 12 rounds :!:

Can it really be any worse than some of those 12 round stinkers Jones fought in against no hopers on PPV where Glass Jaw Roy threw 12 punches a round, posed, and showboated the whole time? Jones was in a ton of **** fights.

Make this two years ago and it's a better fight. I think the injuries and lack of quality ring time will have hurt Chagaev. He was routine against Skelton and at times worringly out-of-sorts against Drummond. He's showed a good chin up to this point but he's never been in with a real heavyweight puncher short of perhaps Virchis, and Wlad will be by far the best puncher he's faced.

The Valuev gameplan doesn't work much for Chagaev because Wlad isn't as slow, is a sharper puncher and a heavier puncher.

Add it all up and I say the new Ring Champion is Wlad in 8.
Then cue fifty billion new threads here saying with an unparelled triumph/disaster Wlad is.

 

Wlad needs to win impressively since, judging from this poll, people are now viewing Chagaev highly. Wlad lookes in great shape and I hope that transfers into the fight and he fights more aggressively and throws more right hands because that what he needs to do against a lefty. I think Chagaev will be tough because he is a thinking fighter with decent power and will use lateral movement to make Wlad work.

 

Viewing Chagaev highly? It's running about 90-10 in Wlad's favour.
