as bad as ortiz and berto are they are still levels above those guys...and have been in the ring with top guys in the sport....whereas those guys best opponents is actually willie monroe lol

Could be an interesting fight if it can be made and Lara can perform well at 160. Two big ifs. If it happens I don't think Lara will get knocked out early because he will move away from Golovkin rather than engage him toe-to-toe, which would be suicide. I think he will employ a similar strategy to the one he used against Canelo which will see him losing the fight on the cards if he ever makes it to the last bell. In order for him to have a chance at winning he is going to have to be willing to take risks against GGG, moving in and out of range while blasting him with accurate combinations. I always thought Lara had the skills to fight that way at his very best, but I have yet to see him do it against top competition. His approach against GGG will be "safety first". If he fights differently he will get knocked out sooner rather than later.

but its always "well pascal wants the money" or some reason why kova can get fights but ggg cant

I don't get the obsession with Lara vs Golovkin. I think Lara makes him look slow and stylistically has the advantage but he's not durable enough to last with Golovkin.

 

I'm pretty sure most GGG fans would love to see this fight. They're just realistic enough to know there are various reasons why it might not happen, as opposed to your pitifully simplistic view.

 

I'd like to see this fight. I wish Lara would be more vocal about it. Even his manager DeCubas said they never contacted K2 about a fight. What are they waiting for? K2 isn't going to go chase Lara a guy who fights at 154. GGG would get slammed for picking on little guys at 154.

 

Lara fights whom Al Haymon tells him to. Its in the advisor contract.
