He's no puppet!:rofl Good for Marquez.....he's not about the money. He wants to keep the ending of their rivalry in tact by bowing out of any talk of a possible 5th encounter and look to make history in winning a 5th world title in a 5th weight class. I don't blame him...the risk is much greater facing PAC again than facing Tim and the reward won't be as big in terms of money...but for his legacy it would be incredible because he'll be all alone as the only Mexican fighter to win titles in 5 different weight classes. I think it's a perfect option for him.

I think he knows that outcome is a real possibility especially with how things ended in their last meeting. One punch can change everything......the risk ain't worth it to JMM which no one can blame him for choosing a different route.

Pac vs Alvarado I think. Rios is gonna cry though. haha

Weird though that he won't take the biggest money out there.
Seems like he doesn't wanna risk it.

When was the last time JMM knocked anyone out before he landed that counter right hand on PAC's face? It just takes a blend of skill, opportunity and luck to catch someone on the button, brah.

At what weight? And PAC could have easily gotten a stoppage against Marg if he had of went after the KO instead of letting him survive. Brah.

No one thought JMM was going to be able to stop PAC, brah....it's boxing and a KO is always a possibility at this level. Hell...even Paulie got a stoppage a little while back. Brah.

I know the Pacquiao haters will be flocking to this thread, but Pacquiao gave him 3 rematches and Marquez gives him zero. That's fair.

    So for the haters, 2-1-1.

I say this in every thread but NOT ONCE did Arum and Paccquiao see fit to give Marquez an immediate rematch after their close fights. And after Pacquiao's two official wins, he proceeded to fight 2 far less well known opponents for far less money than he would've made in an immediate rematch against Marquez at the time. Anyone criticizing Marquez for potentially doing the same thing has a clear double standard if they weren't likewise up in arms about the Diaz and Bradley fights, most especially given the fact that Marquez scored by far the most decisive victory in the series.

To be fair to Juan....all of the fights were very close and rematches were demanded. A fifth fight is in demand....but NOT demanded due to the way things ended. I do however feel a 5th fight would be the most popular if it does end up happening because of how well PAC was doing before the dramatic end.
