That "story line" is the only thing that's different aside from the obvious in JMM's different opponents. Nothing changes the fact that JMM is operating in a division he has no business in and the fact he loses any of the physical qualities that make him a force at the lower weights like POWER, SPEED and REFLEXES. The weight definitley is a big issue for JMM....as it was when he was schooled by FLOYD. It's gonna be a similar performance on JMM won't be making it 12.

Pac vs Clottey did 600,000 buys. So pac is not a big of a draw as his stupid fans make him out to be.

Before Oscar, Floyd averaged 355,000 PPV buys (from total of 1.065 million buys), whereas Pac averaged 323,000 buys (from total of 2.26 million buys).

After Oscar, Floyd averaged 1.15 million PPV buys (from total of 4.59 million buys), whereas Pac averaged 1.05 million buys (from total of 5.25 million buys).

They are both equal draws. 50/50. There is no point debating who is the bigger draw. Pac has sold more PPVs vs. Floyd. Floyd has averaged slightly higher than Pac in PPV buys. But the difference is not that huge.

Your wrong there. HBO is a public traded company and they release the numbers. All you have to do is read a Thomas Gerbasi article that kills HBO to know that.

Bob Arum has stated Showtime does not release the numbers.

Be fair that was one opponent who no one had any interest in seeing fight Pac man and no fan base.

If Pac isn't a huge star what does that make everyone else in boxing?

The network putting on the PPV event are given the numbers before anyone else. Those networks are the ones who delvudge those figures to the promoters and/or fighters when made available by the Cable companies and satellite providers. HBO is a publicly traded company so they MUST have their numbers available at some point for legality purposes but that doesn't mean they are the ones who put out the "official press release". 99% of the time that falls on the promoters plate.

In this case...not so much, in terms of US popularity Manny is more popular and many of you go to great lengths to point this out. It can't be both ways, you're either saying PBF is significantly more popular than Manny (resulting in greater PPV success) or Manny's nationality isn't that great of a factor because he's more popular...

No doubt... Validation is always welcomed.
