Manuel Charr and Mike Perez are returning to the ring after a bad year for both of them (both lost once). Charr recently joined Team Money and is training with Floyd Mayweather Jr, plus he is looking to fight in the USA in the future.

Robert Garcia is the new coach for Mike Perez and believes he could win the heavyweight championship with him.

Alexander Povetkin will probably fight on the same card. His team is interested in a fight with a bigger man like Wach, Tony Thompson or Ustinov.

Other possibility is that Povetkin will fight Ruslan Chagaev for WBA Regular Belt.

If Perez is at even 75% he should win this, but you never know as he has dipped since the Mago fight

Like this fight, fair play to both for fighting ranked guys...since the Mago incident he's fought a tough Takam, high ranking Jennings and now Charr.Although Charr is no world beater its hard not to like ghe guy for stepping into the ring with just about anyone.Perez needs to win this as a loss would really damage his credability.

Anykne know who Perez new trainer is..'Robert Garcia'??
Does this mean Adam Booth is no longer in his corner?? Hopefully it does as Booth does nothing for a fighter like Perez.

Wasn't Perez going to be offered a WBC title eliminator with Povetkin if Wlad vs Jennings goes through? Wonder why Perez accepted a fight with Charr.

I have found no information about this fight but in one German site. Are you sure it is official? Could you please provide us with the proof?

Mike Perez facing some Charr, previously destroyed and outclassed by Povetkin, is weird, taking into consideration the fact that he was supposed to fight WBC elimination with Povetkin himself.

Even fat Perez beats Charr easily, but fails to stop him. Motivated Parez stops him late, he's far more skilled fighter, hits harder and has better reflexes.
