Prime Tyson beats Lennox Lewis via points ala Mitch Green. Tyson may take a few but if he took em for 8 rounds in 2002 in can damn sure take em for 10 or 12 in the mid 80s. Prime Tyson works more inside, throws more shots, has more stamina, faster hands, better combinations, and confidence in what he can do.

The man was a champ, just like Ali, Marciano, and Dempsey and he deserves his recognition with the rest of them. As for Tyson, he is the youngest HW champ ever, he unified all the belts when he was 21, and has 10 straight defenses+ he regained the title after a 4yr layoff. Bruno was a big guy with good skills who troubled Lennox a little but Tyson took him apart, As for his losses he couldn't handle Holy after 4 yrs in prison, and the Lewis fight took place 17 yrs after Tyson turned pro.
Today's era post Lewis is the worse ever, all the sports writers redicule this crappy joke of a division for a reason, it's no wonder Haye is favored to make a name for himself in the HW scene.

Vitali got a couple weeks notice that he was fighting anyone--- and not just anyone, but Lennox Lewis.. Lewis had at least been training for someone-Kirk Johnson-- and was scheduled to fight when he fought Vitali. If Vitali had more time to train the result would have been worse for Lennox and much better for Vitali.how come lewis declined a rematch?

 

Lewis was supposed to be fighting Johnson which is why he came in overweight, Vitaly was at his peak, Lewis was far from it, the fact that Lewis still beat him shows how inferior he is to Lewis.

 

At 38 Lewis was shot, so he was just being smart, he didn't wanna and up like Holy or Tyson by staying around too long.
