A few things to note. There was no official contract for this fight. Adamek has a history of setting terms for his opponents. Solis may very well have been given an ultimatum. Legacy wise, Larsen does absolutely nothing for Solis. Gavern, Larsens fill in opponent is actually a better notch on a resume than Larsen would be. Why risk getting cut and not being 100% when facing Adamek. If the Adamek fight were 100%, and the date set for early 2013, Solis would have likely taken this stay busy fight and sent Larsen back to the stone ages. I woulda liked to have seen this absolute schooling, but Im happier knowing that the Adamek fight is 100%. Solis will weigh between 235-245 for the Adamek fight. Mark this post. :deal
As far as I've read, a contract was signed. Solis has also vacated his IBF intercontinental belt. Either way, if that fat cuban pig had chosen to face Larsen, he would have been beaten into a grease stain. The only thing that's going to weigh anywhere near 235 pounds is his pre-fight meal.
:huh:huh:huh Wow......I've seen insanity on these boards before, and Ive actually been the insane one picking a hopeless fighter to win a fight he's clearly outclassed, but this is just demented. Larsen is the stronger guy, but I guarantee that Solis is the heavier hitter. :good
Shameful duck, but Solis simply saw the inevitable outcome of this fight - being KTFO'd. Either way, Larsen will get people looking his way now and will secure some decent fights on the back on his moral victory over the cowardly slob Solis.
Yeah, why risk it? Kind of sums up Solis and the attitudes of many of the heavyweights today. And please stop fooling yourself about Solis. He'll come into the ring morbidly obese as usual, ring rusty, and lose a close but uncontroversial decision. You can mark that if you like, but I don't much care if I'm right.
Now he was afraid of an injury, men when he signed the contract wasn't t he? He was afraid of not losing I am telling you, because I know from very reliable sources that it was a signed contract. The guy responsable with this show said that and also they invest a lot of money in it, and as far as I know they will sew that whale solis.
I feel like Solis really is a bit of a wasted talent. I would call him a disgrace, but it is his life and if he doesnt like boxing or training, then thats up to him. Its pretty obvious that he fights because it his job, not because he has dreams of glory. That being said, he was winning international competitions when Larsen was still honing his skills chasing around young boys. Solis could have made a boxing match with Larsen the very first part of his knee rehab and probably wouldve won hands down. Totally different class as far as handspeed, experience, skills, age and amateur background. You could probably get Solis up in the middle of the night after a 12 month layoff and he would beat a fully prepared Larson without much trouble. Solis is not a small, inexperienced boy, no way that Leif could handle him at all.
