tony jeffries beats venezualan hopeful in a count back at 5 points. very close used his more compact boxing skills to stay in there and technically win the fight.

Imre Szellő gets passed gonzalez pretty easily. gonzalez had a good chance he had beat chris downs of the U.S. and some other known wins but still was a novice. just go tweaked in the end. good fight in all honesty.

after a really good give and take fight with silva and samir at each others throats it was contested with only 2 point between them. i personally felt that samir won...but silva will prolly do better in the finals.

kenny egen walks over muzafher with ease. used his boxing skills and solid left hands to win the fight. im surprised there wernt more points. the irisih champ goes on to the quarter finals.

real controversial contest here. Zhang Xiaoping vs Artur Beterbiyev
listen to me "Zhang Xiaoping did not win this fight" he had a good opening round but was getting points out of nowhere. Beterbiyev landed the cleaner shots, the harder shots, the better shots, shots in combinations, shots opn the back foot, shots on the front foot...but this chinese wasnt having none of it. he just fell to the floor, ran and clinched for most the fight....awful display and a shame that a better fighter lost.

    Yerkebuian Shynaliyev - Carlos Negron
i felt negron had the class and skills to out box the stocky and lanky Kazakhstani (very strange) but it was a clear points win and was exactly how i was going to say about it being 2 boxers both staying on th eoutside too much.
    Yerkebuian Shynaliyev goes through

    welters!!!!

billy joe sanders loses to the cuban. a real tough luck of the draw here as bantuex clearly out pointed him. if he had fougth on th eother side of the tourny i think he would of got to the finals

Hanati Silamu won against the camaroonian mulema...but it was a borign scrappy affair. the chinese fighter won but by no big margins not an impressive fight here.

Tureano Johnson i think is the fav to win the tourney now. he has a great boxer puncher style and is trained in cuba!!!!!! mixed with american resources = a very very skilled and trained athelete.

andrade vs belanov...to me andrade isnt as good as he thinks he is. he has a southpaw style that would suit a counterpunching left uppercut, jab and move to the righ footwork sort of style.
all the guy does is throw a really brass pawing jab then waits then waits then waits THENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.....flump flump flump. really uneffective and scrappy flurries as hell. i felt zhania almost had his number there...and the guy boasts about his win for the cameras with the p4p #1 single......no no mr.andrade you almost lost a fight you dont boast. tch tch
well he fights balanov who is pretty good but im wont be surprised if andrade just does his unneffective flurry's and gets 2 points and runs for 6 mins.

a sport based on clinching:nod how cant you see ruiz being the top heavy fighter...

i know an ippon stops the fight. but i cant tell the diffdrence. they will throw you over you get 1 point:think you throw the other guy over you get 100:huh then you can throw him in a differnt way and it gets stopped:blood :blood :blood

yo never know they may watch the boxing and go " wasnt the other guy winning"

I was impressed too, he was doubling left hooks to the body and head at will. Is the entire Indian boxing team all Kumar brothers?

:rofl I noticed that there were other Kumars as well, but I'm not sure if they are related. I'd definitely keep an eye out if they fight anything like Ahkil because this dude can fight and very excited to watch, He reminded me a little of Naseem Hamed when he started playing with his opponent.:bbb

The Cuban 141 lbs. fighter, Roniel Iglesias, is very impressive. He looked good both in his first round fight and has turned in another good performance against the Moroccan here in the round of 16. This division really is stacked with him, the Kazahk Sapiyev, and the Russian Kovalev.

He's looking much better than the first fight. He's staying on the outside and timing the Russian coming in with nice uppercuts, but he also is being effective on the inside.

Today I seen the Andrade I've been getting told about. Left uppercut was his money punch in this fight.

I haven't been too critical of the judging or aledged chines bias up to date because the boughts that I have seen (including those with chines athletes) have been reasonablyu fair (even if bad) but Yang LI of china just got some serious home cooking over Luis POROZO of ecuado. Complete robery and bs refing.

Vasyl Lomachenko is an AMAZING fighter!
Watching him, he has the exact same style as me, only that he performs it 10x better. Thrill to watch.
Plus he's not limited to infighting, he can do it all.
