Andrade just got jobbed, oh well, he's in good company, Roy got robbed as well.

Funny how this system was added to not allow robberies, yet.. here we go again.. of course.. this is such a much more subtle way to job them.

6. Surprise, surprise. And the Cubans still have 9. The communists are running the table.

 

For the most part the Chinese suck and the Cubans get easy draws.

No ****. If we had to have only 1 medal; it couldn't happen to a nicer guy than Deontay Wilder.

 

This isn't the only even the Chinese have gotten, shall we say, generous scoring.

 

Wilder is a class act, and he totally spoke from the heart during his interview. As for Andrade, I know him personally. The kid busts his butt to make the Olympic team, and compete for the Gold. He fought well, made some good adjustments after the first round. And then he got jobbed in front of the whole world. True boxing fans will know, that he was the better fighter that day. But, he leaves for home heartbroken, and with no medal.His huge accomplishment of making the Olympics, and fighting to bring the Gold home for his country. Tainted either by politics, or horrific human error. It`s just not fair, and on the world stage no less. You are still are champ Boo Boo...

 

I agree. It's what I said, and I agree with Campbell-I don' begrudge BooBoo leaving the ring at all after that ****.

 

To be fair, I haven't seen any of the Cubans getting gifted a decision. Their boxers have been very good, which just goes to show the strength in depth that they have. This was a team of relative unknowns, shorn of some of their best fighters and they are still doing well.

Yes, they got favourable draws by and large but so did the Americans and quite a few other teams (including the Irish, who still have three fighters in). There were eleven US boxers to start with. One is still in, two lost to dubious decisions, one lost through sheer stupidity and seven got beaten fair and square. It's all well and good complaining about Warren and Andrade's losses, but the fact is that eight of the others just weren't good enough on the day.

By the way, I think that Andrade won, but I've seen much worse robberies in the pro game.

And don't get me started on the Chinese. They have some excellent fighters, but it seems like the only way any of them are going to lose is if they got knocked out cold.
