Agreed, Lomachenko has been simply amazing this tournament. I gave him next to no chance of making the finals after he drew Selimov in the 1st round, however he fought brilliantly and proved me and many others wrong. He should have too much for Djelkhir, if he wins convincingly he may even be in contention for the Val Barker trophy. I hope he turns pro soon, by the looks of things he has the makings of a great fighter.

Wilder didn't get a point counted until the 4th and Russoa was having glancing blows that weren't clean counted. ****, his first point was a slap to the back. :roll:

i just saw some class fighters lsoign 2 or 3 points in succetion un****ingbalivable. the best judging today was maybe (and just maybe) bruno julie-yankiel leon

the mongolian vs the moldovian at bantam was horrific.

the mongolian guy was gettign points for the guy slipping over:huh :huh :huh ankhbayt was the winner but it's unfair to give the fighter extra points becuase ti seems that he is winning

 

this is the thing i felt wilder lost BUT by not that far a margin.


this is whats making it a bad olympic is that some kids are so behind on points there is no chance of a come back. it's impossible to knock them out and even more so to look good agains them.

wilder if he was 7-4 as it should of been the last round he would of turned swarmer on the italians ass.

Clean fight, not many clinches, good shots... Rounds 1 and 2 were close but after that it was for Sow who scored at will. Notice that Sow had prepared especially for Ugas. He had been beaten recently by Ugas in an amical match France-Cuba but he hadn't come to win : he just wanted to study Ugas... Perfect work, it's not easy to outpoint a Cuban boxer at the olympics. Sow was nowhere before the tournament, strange to see that the guys who were favored to win like J.Thomas completely failed and that an unknow guy succeeded.
