Cotto himself is only a draw in NYC and PR(top rank has a lot to do with that). Quintana isn't even a draw in his own house.

 

Hey, if PW can make the middleweight limit, then he's a middleweight and he has been in several fights early in his career. The thing is there is no other fight out there between these two that people have as much or more desire to see

 

And Kelly has fought at 168 more then PW has fought at middle.

And more people polled at ESB that they would have rather seen Williams - Mosley at WW for the linear and Ring title.

 

I can't honestly see a sharp Pavlik lose against the Williams I saw only a couple of tapes of (Quintana, Philips). Williams fights sloppy, milks his extreme reach advantage, gets hit very often from wide hooks flush, getting away with it only because that opponents lacked power. Against Pavlik, the reach advantage is nullified from both being almost same size, and he for sure cannot afford getting hit as much from Pavlik. Basically, Williams chance in this one is if Pavlik never recuperates from the mental setback he took. He might still surprise me adapting somehow to Pavlik, but at the moment, I don't see it.

 

This is why he should prove himself at 154 atleast before getting a shot at the 160 champ.

 

I find it funny how a certain poster always mentions "he has a UD over Taylor where Hopkins failed twice!", when against Hopkins himself he lost every second, including the weigh-in, all press conferences, the ringwalk, and the run to the bus after the fight.

I still think he either KOs or TKOs (cuts) Williams, unless he became totally sluggish. This fight will show if Pavlik is shot.

 

I never understood that either. "Name me one other fighter with a UD over JT"

Goosen wants none, He will **** off HBO big time if this doesn't go through over something like a standard rematch clause.

 

Actually HBO is very Happy at how easy he was able to agree on Arreola - Vitali Klit. I love how Pavlickers are now on HBO payroll. If Al Haymon wanted the fight it would happen.

 

Pavlik deserves nothing over PW and that is how Goosen is looking at this fight. Arum tried to under pay PW the first time, and blamed Al Haymon for why the fight wasn't made. Arum never goes backwards once he can't make a fight with you, so you can see how desperate Arum is to get PAv a legit, safe fight in his eyes. He went back to the negotiating table with Goosen this time, and now PW has wins over two decent guys at jmw and mw. Pavlik lost any advantage he had in negotiations over PW when PW beat Winky. 50-50 and the fight is on lol... Arum thinks Pav deserves a lot more than PW lol... Fuk out of here lol...

 

Give PAv an extra $10,000 for holding the MW title lol...

 

There have been reports of HBO's involvment. This isn't hard to figure out.
