    Vote for you pick

I think Povetkin outboxes him to win an easy decision!

Chambers' best win is a SD over a fat ass out of shape Brock

I need to see some verification that this is the official thread, before I take part in the poll.

Sorry, to be question you, but you can't be too careful these days, as there are so many unofficial threads being passed around as official threads.

I guess that means you have no verification papers then?

I knew it! This is NOT an official thread!

It can unfold into a very different fight from the one most envision to be, but it's Povetkin because of the styles and the fact that he was able to deal with Donald and Byrd... Want it or not, Chambers is the perfect opponent to follow in the russian's career and most of all b.c. it's in Germany again. Seems to me that the whole IBF tourney was built in order to almost artificially build up Povetkin for that Klitschko title shot and Brock, Byrd and Chambers were picked to give some credibility to it but not to create upsets... Brock and Byrd were in a no-win situation to start with since they were demolished by Wlad just recently, and Chambers is the american equivalent to the russian prospect to give some air of globalised and inter-generational logic to the tournament.
Povetkin throws straight punches very hard and fast and Chambers can't do anything else but protect himself and fight back with faster flurries. The problem is that Sasha has the discipline and cold blood to work well to the body once he gets him into defensive position and Eddie doesn't have the physical strength to make him back off with punches, even if he lands more... In Germany, the judges are not going to give it to the flashy styled defender but to the disciplined, stronger attacker. Chambers would have to totally outland Povetkin or knock him out like Gomez on McCall or Cunningham on Huck - it's not gonna happen. Povetkin UD or SD.

    Blah, blah, blah, blah.....BLAH!!!

Chambers! Not that many have seen him and many are riding the wave of attention Povetkin recieves for his amateur success.

The Povetkin KO of Byrd wasnt real impressive and come Saturday evening, mr. Povetkin will find out that Fast Eddie isnt anything like Byrd:D

I've seen Chambers last 3 fights and to me he looks like a poor version of Byrd.

My prediction is Povetkin by either UD or Tko (based on Chambers untested chin).

I totally disagree with you. IMO he's got mad skills and I think his amatuer achievements confirm it. The ring generalship, the combinations to the head and the body and the angles he throws the punches from are fantastic. While his defense is not his best weapon it has been iproving, and I don't think he gets hit too excesively.

Based on size MAYBE A LITTLE.

STyle? NO ****ING WAY:nono Chambers goes about it in far different manner than byrd did, THATS OBVIOUS:yep Byrd relied on his head movement, slipping, and pawing left to open counters. That's why he had trouble with BIG GUY's. REFERENCE Byrd in the corner during the Golota fight "he's just too big". They wore on him.

Chambers has dealt with big HW's in the gym, believe it. His style and approach affords him much better. Chambers is much stronger than he's given credit for, even though he's not a KO artist. But for the clamor of size 2 AND A HALF INCHES AND 8 POUNDS DIFFERENCE:hey Where's GOLIATH AT??:D Eddie puts more shots together and he'll get more KO's.

    This aint byrd:nono

Is it me or does even American media give Chambers nearly no chance in hell to beat Povetkin?

About all articles I read up to date are all about Povetkin and his career - a few deal with Chambers brought-up but still I hear Povetkin beating Chambers...

It would be a huge upset according to fans and media if Chambers wins this one...

Both Byrd and Chambers are counter-punchers, and Byrd is a much better one, IMO. While Chambers dealt with big HW's in the gym, whoever those might be, Byrd fought and won against big guys like Klitschko brothers, Golota, McCline, Ibrabuchi.

I'm still wating for some details about Chambers 350 amatuer fights you had posted recently.

Actually I was referring to his combos and ring generalship in PRO's. I agree with you though that he needs more fights before he faces Klitschko though.
