Sorry Chief, never said that:nono Only thing close to that was I responded to someone saying Chambers fought only 30 creampuffs as a PRO, to which I responded he didnt need to fight 350 creampuffs in the amateurs as Povetkin did. So, be accurate, before you start throwing accusations and BACK IT UP:yep

For anyone who isnt aware Chambers amateur record was 60-20. But it isnt the amteur scoring, NOR A 3 or 4 round fight:nono Eddie turned PRO at 18 so he surely could have compiled a higher amateur record, but for what? Tomorrow, is what his opportunity, is all about. This is the PRO's not the AMATEUR's.

You're entitled to you're opinion but Chambers isnt byrd stylistically despite you're thoughts:nono That will be apparent on saturday.

Byrd has a "paper" victory against vitali and wlad obliterated him 2x. Crazy Ike made him drool like a baby by knocking him senseless. He deserves credit for fighting these guys buy he was not competitve at all.

Povetkin's wins over Donald and Byrd are very good names but they were flat out done. Byrd was never in any sort of trouble he was in against wlad or ike. He was hopelessly behind and his corner decided he shouldn't take a chance to get hurt.

Povetkin is already a good hw but he is no destroyer. I don't see this mythical power some of his supporters claim he has. Chambers is the first real 'live' opponent he's gonna face. Chambers' quick and straight jabs and rights will land on Povetkin. But his activity level will probably cost him. I think most are short-changing chambers here and povetkin is getting a bit too much cred. Both guys chins are untested at this level. Chambers doesn't have good power but he throws his shots straight and quickly so they can do cumulative damage if enough land. Brock was marked up pretty good. Good fight between 2 young and solid hws.

That being said, I am rooting for Povetkin. Povetkin-Wlad would be at least interesting to discuss on ESB up to the fight. Chambers would get obliterated standing in front of wlad. I wouldn't be surprised to see the winner go in another direction citing the multiple mandatories as a pretense

    115-112 Povetkin :yep

His shots are CRISP and have rocked most opponents BACK. he sent brock back most times. Had him dancing away like a 240 tap dancer:yep

16 KO's outta 30 isnt the worst. Chambers up's his output? He'll get more KO's because he doesnt hit "with pillow intent":nono He's not a KO artist, but again Chambers hits better than Byrd. Brock remarked that Chambers was the sharpest guy he ever fought. Brock also admitted Chambers was better than he thought he was.:D

I misunderstood your post then. Povetkin did not have 350 amtuer fights though. And a lot of the fighters he beat in amatuers were way better than the ones Chambers beat in PROS. Good luck!!!

exactly. i would say while his punches lack sheer power, his handspeed and accuracy make him an effective puncher. You let him hit u enough and he can do some damage. Povetkin will give chances to Chambers to land.

As for Povetkin, he is much more active with good 2 fisted-skill and handspeed. I would say he has only above average power though. Comparable to Iggy in terms of power but Povetkin really lets his hands go more.

I just said 350 as more a joke. I dont know how many total amateur fights he had, but i know he had a lot ,and won 2004 Gold Medal. Sure he fought some top amateurs and surely he ate a few creampuffs as well.

Its about what happens between them tomorrow, not what happened then and its a PRO GAME:good

The split decision against Brock was BS, Eddie was the clear winner. He's got the goods for an upset.....my prediction is thats its going to be a close, back and forth fight.....but in the end Povetkin by a close decision or late stoppage.

He fought and beat all top amatuers.

But you are right, it is all about what happens tomorrow. May the best man win.

Agreed and this should be a good fight:good

IMO, chambers will have better hand speed and jab. He'll hold his own strength wise and his defense will be effective in eating up most of Povetkins work. If Eddie control's the tempo and raises his output? He's got a very nice chance to pull a FAST ONE:D

60-20 and turned PRO AT 18, homie! If he fought for another 4 years til 2004? He could have added many more victories. keep judging a book by its cover and a PRO fight with AMATEUR GLSSES. Besides he didnt lose 1 out of every 3. had some early losses and as he matured won multiple Gold Gloves. AGAIN, this aint a 3 or 4 round fight.

    What do i wanna bet?:rofl

My man, i've placed my bets:yep What you can do is GO TO Decebals Avatar challenge thread and put up there.:good

What time the fights goes off should be between 5p-6P ET so we'll probably know what happens before we see it
