Personally I lean towards a Dawson win on points.

I don't think Tarver can pressure him the way Johnson did in their fight, and Dawson has the tools to outwork Antonio and get the decision.

Dawson by decision. There's a reason Tarver was avoiding this matchup. Dawson (despite how many of the fans feel about him at this point) is one of the best young champions in the sport. Tarver isn't going to be able to paw and hammer his way through this one, Dawson is going to paint him up with combos all night.

Everything you said, i agree with.

Only thing i worry about is Tarver connecting his left hand on Dawson's chin. But if Dawson maintains a fluid pace, he should be alright.

Anything can happen of course, but i'm leaning towards that scenario.

This will be a good fight.

I'll pick Dawson here based on one thing, Tarver is too old for a fighter in Dawson's style. If Tarver proves to be fresh in there(unlikely) then his chances are pretty high but we all know that Tarver will run out of gas late ANYWAY so those rounds late won't be his, if he wants to make a statement he should take advantage of it early and DON'T wait in there.

    Tarver always fights the best.

I'll go out on a limb and pick Tarver by KO.

I've seen Chad hurt a few times and Tarver's got a big punch. So let's say Dawson shakes him up in the first couple rounds before Tarver lays him out in a 4th round stunner. Why not?

I wouldn't be incredibly shocked if Tarver lands the home run. He does have a good left hand, and very good timing. It's not at all out of the question, just unlikely by the numbers. I'm sticking with that 70-90% chance, IMO, Dawson keeps that from happening.

Agreed. I think the way Dawson has been acting as far as Diaconu is concerned justifies people to call him an ass, nevertheless he is a good champion and I think he prevails in this one.
Antonio's only chance imo is to connect big with his left hand and KO/TKO Dawson, but that won't be easy.

So you think a prime Tarver would be a heavy favourite against Dawson?

I reckon Tarver's power and Dawson's slightly suspect chin will play a bigger role in this fight than many think.

Still pick Dawson to be to young, to quick and to busy. But I think Team Tarver are at the drawing board thinking about where Milkdud is at, what advantages Chad has over them and what is the best gameplan for them.
I dont think Tarver can outbox Dawson consistently but I do think if AT is able to put the hurt on Dawson early, and doesnt neglect the body, it could change the dynamic of the fight.

I doubt it. I don't think Chads chin will hold up against her flurries. Too bad I am ducking her. What a great matchup that will be. hehehe
