Tarver has a way of getting under the opponent's skin..if Chad falls for it, Tarver's chance of landing big shots goes up enough that he's a live dog to knock him out.

Dawson's the younger, fresher, quicker fighter however. I think he's going to get hit, but should win a decision regardless. It'll be interesting to see what he learned from the Johnson fight as far as dealing with the experienced old *******s. I mean that in a good way. :D

tough call. glenn johnson exposed some weaknesses. Dawson's defense isn't exactly air tight and was badly hurt on a few occassions. Tarver will have his chance to land and a harder puncher than Johnson but his workrate leaves a lot to be desired. his age could be a factor too.

I could see a narrow pts win for either. I'll go with Tarver by SD.

Yeah both can win this fight. I just give a slight edge to Dawson, just for being younger and very fast. I can't say I like Tarver, but I must admit he always fights the best out there.

In Chad's coming out party to the light heavyweight division, i see him beating Tarver by a wide unanimous decision. However, that's if he utilizes his jab early, watch out for his power, use his advantages and brings educated pressure on the aging Tarver. Dawson is at an advantage in every category. Hand speed, punching power, out side boxer, in fighting and is also bigger in both height and reach and is younger by 14 years so this is his fight to lose. I see him boxing him the way he did Adamek and not banging with him the way he did Johnson, simply because styles makes fights and Tarver is not a pressure fighter. Johnson's ability to avoid punches while coming forward offset Dawson's rhythm and foot work, which is why he had to load up on his punches because he was anxious and nervous. Tarver does not have that style, he won't punch when Dawson's punches and he won't counter off of the ropes. Dawson needs to avoid Tarver's sneaky punches and avoid trading with him, so he won't be putting himself at risk. If Dawson does all of these things and sticks to him game plan through, then this should be an easy fight for him.

    Dawson by a breakout performance.

You seriously think Dawson has more punching power than Tarver?
