This is what happens when you make a pick looking only at a resume.

Tua was a better, more accomplished and proven fighter who knocked out SEVERAL contenders, not just one.

Anyone who reads my psts will know that I am not a Wlad hater. I think Ike takes this one. Ike had an incredible chin and amazing stamina as we saw in the Tua fight. As gifted as he is offensivly I think that Wlad ahs too many defensive flaws and a lack of stamina o keep ike at bay for 12 full ronds. I think Wlad gets KO'd late

Too bad wlad wouldn't stand in front of him like Tua and Byrd. Ibeabuchi was squared up all the time and would be eating jabs the whole fight. He will not be able to get set to deliver his power. Moreover, Ibeabuchi was a more controlled boxer than say Sam Peter, who has a ultra aggressive style so Ike would be more inclined to stay at mid-range.

I would think Ike catches pre-Symbiosis Wlad with a mid T/KO.

With Manny in his corner, Wlad could survive to win a close decision.

more like wlad takes advantage of the squared-up felon and tatoos him all night long with the jab.

I think that Wlad would win a lot of rounds and for a while jab the **** out of Ike as you suggest. however Ike's chin would get him through those rough moments and as the fight wore on I think that wlad would run out of ways to keep Ike off of him. Unfortunaltlly we will never know how good Ike could have been but if what we saw is any indication he was going to wreck ****

Yes, because Wlad is so smooth and swift with his movements. Byrd didn't stay in front of Ibeabuchi, he was methodically chased and broken down.

chris byrd was outboxing ike before he got knocked out, plus ike didn't knock out keith walton, that was knocked out by mario cawley (!!) in one. so maybe a future atg like wlad can do at least as good as walton and wade. ike could be a nightware for wlad though.

Come on now please. Ibeabuchi would starch Wladimir, there is simply no way Wlad could keep him away from his chin.

Ibeaubuchi is roughly as big as Wlad, probably stronger, and highly skilled. He had great power (easily the most powerful fighter Wlad would have faced) and a superb chin. This is exactly the kind of fighter who Wlad could not beat. He cant outbox him for 12 rounds, he cant KO him, sooner or later he would be sparked, this much is glaringly obvious.

And to those who say Ibeaubuchi proved nothing with regards to his caliber as a fighter, he destroyed Chris Byrd long before Wlad did, and his Tua win is far greater than any on Wlad's resume.

    Wlad by wide UD.

Ike never beat a good big fighter, let alone someone bigger than he was. I also have a hard time thinking a crazy man could adjust well enough in the middle of a fight to beat Wlad, who would've countered the slower, more sloppy, haymaker machine Ibeabuchi silly when he threw those wide ass shots.

I also don't think it's a coincidence that after the Tua fight, Ike really lost it upstairs- that fight took something fierce out of both guys, and even though Ike won a debatable decision in an epic fight, he took a hellacious beating. Just because Ike lasted the full fight and won doesn't mean he there were no consequences for taking that many shots. Credit to Ike for taking advantage of Byrd letting himself get stuck on the ropes in his final fight- it was the biggest blessing to his legacy because he never had to fight the kind of style that would've, in my opinion, dismantled him. Now the idea of what Ike could've been is better than he actually was.

So, in short: Wlad wins a lopsided UD against perhaps the most overrated fighter on ESB.
