Official Poll James Toney vs Denis Lebedev

James Toney is completely shot I watched a few of his recent fights he looks awful.

 

I cant believe that Toney is winning the poll 60-35 :roll:

Toney wins easily. Lebedev has no skills. None.

 

I rate Lebedev as the best cruiser in the world, sure Toney's got talent, but he is just too old to take on a prime stud like Lebedev at this point.

It all depends on Toney. Can he be anything like his best? Or even...the version of himself that was only 30-40% of his best? (his early days at heavyweight) If so he schools Lebedev.

With his age and the huge weight cut, though - it's tough to say whether he can recapture that "glory". :think

 

My guess is that people are being fooled simply because Toney has lost weight. He'll probably be competitive for the first few rounds and then get outworked by the younger and fresher man. There's no doubt who is the better fighter, but I get the impression that Toney is totally done. I hope I'm wrong though.

 

Toney has never been ko and ledebev is not the one whos going to do it,if peters,rahman,holyfield,ruiz,jirov, couldn't hurt him.it is very hard to catch toney flush with a shot,for what i've seen from ledebev tony will embarrased him.

 

Well, some Toney fans seem to get excessively optimistic.

I too believe Toney will win but via a tough decision. you have to keep in mind that:

- James is 43, this will affect to a certain degree his speed and reflexes
-Lebedev is tough, durable and has a good chin
-James has been inactive during the last years
-James has not fought at this level and this weight since a while
-Toney has never been a devasting puncher

Wow way more people picked Toney. Where are they now though?
