Now we all know these 2 athletes are beyond doubt the top two boxers in the world right now! If i was asked before the Cotto fight who would win this fight i would have said Floyd. I say this because the 2 fights that Manny has had at or around the 140 limitdidn't prove anything. He fought a weight drained ODLH and a blatantly past it punch drunk Hatton (this was even apparant in the Lazcano fight). So i questioned how well Manny could perform around this weight range. He hadn't really took a solid blow and he hadn't fought anyone with notable boxing skills or strength . . . .But after watching his performance against Cotto its safe to say that if he fights Floyd between 140-147 my money would be on the phillipino warrior. Above the 147 range then the odds start too favour Floyd. So for me it depends on weight but if i was Arum Roach or Pac i would seriously consider giving Floyd a bigger cut aslong as its at 140-147.
Or maybe pac was feeling cotto out test his power, speed and reflexes then adjust too suit. Its a common tactic in boxing if round one was so easy then why didnt cotto carry on doing more of the same. Fact is he was trying too carry it on yet pac had made the adjustments needed too implement his game plan.
Floyd will win, he'll step to another level and show Manny that he can go into a higher gear when the fight progresses. If he fights at a higher workrate, i reckon he'll pick manny apart....
In the cotto fight when cotto atchually tried to box rather than trade and hurt manny he was hitting PAC and making him miss, no doubt mayweather has much more skill than cotto so as much as I want pacman to win I gotta say PBF. Then again I've picked agaisnt manny the last three fights and look what he's done to those guys !
I'm going for Mayweather, due to the fact that he says, he can adapt. Most people are probably thinking if his first plan, using his jab, his countering and his perfect defense goes wrong, which it will to a certain extent, that he's finished. I disagree, I think he'll do something else, get a second plan going and beat Pacquiao that way. Pacquiao throws from different angles and unsurprisingly fast, and it will be a very tough fight for Mayweather, but Mayweather will not try and trade with Pac and I feel will change his gameplan up as the fight goes along to wear he's not getting caught so much by Pacquiao and beat him that way. Haven't got a clue what he'll do though, you've got to wonder if May's impenetrable defense and brilliant jab/countering isn't working, what else has he got? I think, something else.
This will be an interesting fight: The pacman on the offense while Mayweather on the backfoot, both on their respective forte. It would be on a see-saw match, like a pacman-marquez fight. But here, I see a busted up, swollen face Mayweather (which we have never seen before). Just look at what Cotto tried to defend himself, a shoulder-roll move, but it did not made him any better. All I can see is a Pacquiao late TKO, AGAIN. But, If Mayweather tries to trade punches with the Pacman (which Manny got most of his KD), lights out to Mayweather...
I like Pac, but MoneyMay is going to beat his ass. He's going to get you folks to finally understand what ring Generalship is. He will dominate Pac.
They say the punches u least expect will hurt the most...that's y I think Mayweather will let's his guard down for a quick second and Manny will catch him bad...either that or it can go the other way, Mayweather might b able to catch Paquaio off guard and hurt him bad. But idk I think Roach is gonna come up with the blueprint to beat Mayweather, hopefully Paqcuaio doesn't fool around and sticks to the plan.
Which in reality means jack ****, FMJ won a similar poll by a landslide immediately after the FMJ-JMM fight. Doesnt mean anything mate, lets just get this **** on, I cant wait, this is history. Our kids will ask us what it was like to see this fight live just like I asked my dad about the Dempsey-Willard fight (kidding), the Ali-Foreman fight.
