I predict the fight will be over by round 10. While Canelo is an elite fighter, he always has had the advantage of being the biggest and strongest person in the ring. That will not be the case tonight. GGG's balance and ability to cut off the ring will be the telling difference. When in range, GGG always has proper balance to allow him to punch with either hand and take a punch. At some point, Canelo will attempt side movement and take a body shot that will either drop him or visible hurt him. At this point the fight will change from being close, to GGG dominating with pressure and Canelo will not be allowed a moments rest because of GGG's ability to cut off the ring.
My thoughts exactly. Obviously, Canelo is young, strong, prime and highly skilled so he has different ideas. The talk is almost over, let's have a great fight!!
GGG wins by TKO in the 5th round. I think the fight looks exactly like the Brook fight GGG won't respect Canelo's power and eventually walk through him Canelo's corner will stop the fight
GGG is too basic, slow and flat-footed and can only come forward (which suits Canelo); and after seeing Brook back him off and expose a weak defense I just see Canelo tee-ing off on him. Best case scenario for GGG is that his size / power overwhelms Canelo, or he can grind him out and outlast him. I don't think Canelo will have problems with any of it though. I won't be surprised seeing GGG stopped early.
Final call, GGG in 9 rounds. His jab will cause Canelo to pause, and Canleo is the lighter hitter in the exchanges.
I'm going for GGG late stoppage, maybe points. If this fight was taking place a year or 2 ago I'd be very confident of GGG stopping him but I'm less so now.
