I'm going to be a bit of a black sheep here.... I want Hatton to win and these are the factors I like:-

    - Hatton was more impressive against Pepp and Castillo who I don't think is nearly as shot as people make out. That left hook would have folded him in his prime.

    - Mayweather is most effective when given time to select his shots and pick his way through someones guard while their standing off. Hatton isn't going to give him that kind of space.

-Mayweather for all his skills can get flustered by salvos of punches Sharmba Mitchell, Castillo, Zab Judah and De La Hoya all had sucess with their combinations.

-The Corley wobble and the Judah knockdown PROVE this guy is not invincible he also was troubled by Baldomir early on I thought.

-His workrate is not exceptional he is busy at times but only when he is dominating every exchange most of the time he is cautious and selective.

-Floyds love of the ropes..... worst possible place to be with Hatton.

    What I don't like:-

-Mayweathers over jab/hook/ anything right.... he times it beautifully and if theres any punch Ricky is susceptable too its the right over the top. If Mark Ramsey can nail you with it then Floyd can too.

-Cuts. Its something that can never be discounted when Hattons in the ring though its not been a massive problem since early career.

-Bodyshots, Rowland and Urango visibly took something out of Hatton with bodyshots and Floyd can work the body very well himself- for me this will be a target area for Floyd.

-Defence, He looked lost when Collazo put his shots together in the 12th, he didn't know where they were coming from and that is when a KO occours. Does Floyd hit hard enough to topple Hatton though? I'd say no- only Magee and Collazo have troubled him upstairs.

    Outcome.

I think Floyd will try and work the body be quick and use the ring to keep reasonable distance from Hatton, when Hatton inevitably gets up close with Floyd, Floyd will try and turn him off balance and counter. Easier said then done.

Hattons gameplan is as simple as Colins Vs Eubank. Set a tremendous pace, avoid getting hit on the way in as much as you can and drag Mayweather into a war.

I'm going out on a limb here but I think Hatton can do it... he is effective though not as pleasing to watch as Floyd but he has a steely determination about him and I fancy him to force Mayweather into a maul. His more effective infighting and better workrate will see him score THE greatest win for our country since Turpin-Robinson on points after a thoroughly entertaining fight.

HAHA you guys get wound up so easy! What do you think of my prediction though?

I think the faster the pace the fight is the better it will suit Mayweather. Thats why i think Hattons got his tactics all wrong!

The obvious prediction is PBF by UD, however I think Fatton will catch Potty Mouth Floyd with enough body shots to slow him down by about the 9th or 10th and force a stoppage.

Why bet against Floyd? This is just another fight for him, for Ricky it is THE night of his life. Ricky will just be too hungry and strong, Floyd though fast and skilled wont like the bodyshots. Plus Floyd is a dick.

I pick Mayweather by either a Split decision or a close UD within 2 points in 2 of the judges score cards.

I will come back and boast when I am right.:rofl

    Mayweather by vivisection.

Late round TKO, possibly a corner stoppage.

Mayweather will win. Too adaptable for Hatton. No question that Hatton needs to come forward to be effective. However, when he gets picked off he can't change his strategy. Mayweather can change his gameplan during those tough moments he encounters.

    Mayweather UD or late TKO.

i don't think hatton is being given the respect he desreves by pbf, i believe pbf will be a little shocked by hattons movement. this is a seriously tough fight to call imo. i dont believe there will be a stoppage, i think it has tight, nervous, extreamely tight points win written all over it.
    prediction.......

    hatton split.

    You Hatton fans kill me.

He won't win a single round and it'll show how limited of a fighter he is, Mayweather TKO 9, a total thrashing.
