Do you follow MW? Sturm turned down TWICE his normal payday when it was offered by AA. NO WAY Sturm will fight Pavlik.

I pity the old man Hopkins--someone should have told him to not take this fight. This will not go any longer than 7.

 

This fight isn't going to sell ... they think that Hopkins press conference antics will sell the fight but I highly doubt that.

It's going to be Jack Lowe v Bernard Hopkins before the fight ... I think that he gets at Lowe and try to cloud his judgement rather than Kels.

None of these fights are going to sell ...

I think that all of these fights have nothing to offer to fans and shouldn't even be made.

This is really going to kill boxing ...

You would think Hopkins who's 2-3 in his last 5 wouldn't even be on PPV anymore.

Pavlik who had the lowest ratings in the history of W.C.B beating out the Cotto & Margarito co-feature ...

why would they put this on PPV ... I remember hearing a while back that the HBO sports execs were going to put more good quality fights on HBO and not PPV.

 

But it is a better fight than Pavlik facing the boxer in your avatar.

Hermit/////////it is alot more political with AA an sturm, i sure if palvik gave sturm a fair offer he would take it. He gave griffen a rematch. I honestly like to see palvik chase down sturm, because when sturm feels like he winning on the score card, he takes chances, an that could make the later rounds very interesting......I would even say no way palvik fights sturm

 

So people are mad about this fight atsch Why ? Its a fight thats actually worth watching ! What better opponet for Pavlik ..I mean people talk about how great he is and what he will do to Joe why not start of with Hopkins ?If loses he lost to a legend he wins he gets closer to becoming one ...Boxing fans are so fickle ! Thank Gawd none of you are promoters you would never be happy ...Ever !

 

are you saying hopkins doesn't stand a chance ? he wont want to go out on a loss (calzaghe) and beating Pavlik which is a possibilty would be a bloody good end to he's career. also it would be a good measuring stick for a Calzaghe vs Pavlik match up and if Pavlik was to win in impressive fashion Joe would have to fight Pavlik

 

The thread starter wants his favorite fighter Paul Williams the Light Heavyweight cheater to face Pavlik instead.

 

If there was ANY chance Sturm would fight Pavlik, that fight would have been persued. Sturm isn't fighting anyone that is a danger to his belt/meal ticket if it isn't a mandatory.:deal
