Official Protest Bernard Hopkins VS Kelly Pavlik Thread

if you don't think its' a good/legit fight than fine, but don't say it's because bhops is "so over the hill". I think he more than showed that he is more than competitive with the best of the mw/smw/lhw division lately. just say hopkins makes boring fights and you don't wanna watch em. that would be more credible.

 

Whatever. Williams is clearly the better fight, but Hopkins is clearly the bigger challenge and is better for his legacy. Pavlik goes after a much tougher fight than he needs to, and his fans get pissed. Go figure.

Whether or not Hopkins is old, in his past 3 fights he barely lost to the consensus P4P #2, thoroughly beat someone who was, at the time, consensus P4P top 10, and knocked out the top dog in his weight class. I don't care what the result is, the fight looks great on Pavlik's resume if it happens.

 

Most people voting are Calzaghe fans desperatetly trying to make Joe's win mean something. :deal

 

This fight is more respectable for Pavlik than fighting Williams. Hopkins was considered the man at 175 just a few months ago.
