Just shut up man just look at the god damm penalosa face, don't be so blind. That was a beating, he have a lot of heart and chin and won the public ala Mallignaggi, but still took a beating.

I don't understand, you call him limited and then you say he is the best at 118. Which one is it. How is this guy limited with heart the ability to stay in there with De Leon and Juanma and also win belts? He just got beat by a better fighter that is all.

i call him the best 118 fighter because there is shallow talent at 118 today. hasagawa's chin is suspect while montiel is a 115 pounder..maybe mares but mares would not yet fight for the title.

it doesnt take a special fighter to beat penalosa. look at what tokuyama had done and also what the ever boring cho had done to him in his prime...

I don't even think he is the best at 118 anymore given that Gerry is past his prime and did not have the fast hands that he used to have. He could still compete there with the best of them though although I'd probably like it more if he retired and went to training the future boxers of the country like his older brother.

why did he need a jab when he was hitting Penalosa at will...I can understand if you needed to set up a punch or keep your opponent off balance by making him regroup, but the jab was not needed in this case.
