The GGG fight was there is he wanted it but instead he is fighting a glass jawed welterweight. I thought Mexicans were supposed to have cojones?

I don't give Khan any chance. He doesn't have even a tenth of Floyd's ring IQ or defense.

Most of the fights you mentioned were criticised and this match up is probably even worse than any of them.

We are talking about Virgil trained Khan, not Roach trained Khan.
Sorry, May 7th is Khan's payday and his ticket closer to HOF.

It's a good fight for Khan. Khan needs to box and move. Show Mayweather why he will also outbox Mayweather.

yea but he lost to three of them, mayweather, trout ,then lara. canelo knows how to play the game, just pretend you won and say that the apponent ran,and the paid off judges will take care of the rest. us at home are left second guessing ourselves until we watch it again to get the same result canelo lost.real record 44-3 -1 (32).

After all these fights in which Khan has shown otherwise, people STILL want to act like he is some master boxer? LOL.

Khan has hand speed. His skills leave much to be desired. He can move his feet and legs quickly, but that's different from having good footwork. He can throw quick flurries, but that is different from good combination punching.

Alvarez is an unspectacular but solid fighter. He's a good counterpuncher, and certainly has enough timing and accuracy to catch Khan's shaky chin when Khan makes one of his many mistakes in the ring.

If they were of equal size, it'd be a better matchup. Canelo would still likely win that due to having the better chin, smarts, and overall skillset, but given the size difference, this is a mismatch.

Eh, all those guys took a lot of heat for those fights. Just because each has a contingent of die-hards that approve of everything doesn't mean they took no criticism at the time.

People will say anything to defend their man-crushes.

Pointing at other fighters doing this excessive catchweight junk and fighting smaller, overmatched opponents doesn't mean this doesn't suck too.

It sucked when they did it and it sucked now. Canelo fought a lot of good opposition and deserves credit for that, and is fighting a smaller, overmatched opponent @ Caneloweight and deserves criticism for it. Simple as that.

Some people actually care about the sport and watch boxing for the love of the sport, not to blindly defend and idolize some fighter who doesn't know you exist.

    YEAH!

This will be a great Middleweight fight to revitalize the MW ranks and division.

Hopefully, now more and more Welterweights and Jr. MWs will migrate up and energize the previously severely depressed division. :bbb

    Good times in 2016! :happy
