I really want GGG to win and am pinning my hopes on the idea that no one has hit Canelo as hard as GGG will hit him and the prep fights of Khan, Smith and Chavez Jr (who was so poor I kept rubbing my eyes) are not as good as GGG's last opponent. Late KO for me for GGG, but equally think Canelo is a wonderfully improved fighter who would clean up at 154 and would make a great opponent for BJS and Jacobs at MW.

Slightly surprised that some think Canelo will drop GGG when (allegedly) no amateur and certainly no pro opponent has done....

Roll on 16/9 esp as Boxnation will not be charging me as a subscriber :ggg

Canelo by Decision. If Canelo can take the punch he wins the fight, because hes definitely the better all around fighter.

legit ggg 8-4 ud or late stoppage

I predict only way canelo wins is if he survives and gets an early xmas gift. After all, my boy david blake once said, "if it dont make dollas, it dont make sense"

canelo got away with not fighting any killers at 154 by making his own weightclass
said he wasnt big enough to fight 160
all the sudden fights chavez jr at 164 and now hes ready for ggg?? LOL
how about a stevens, eubank, or lemieux to test out the waters.....nah those fights may q u e e r a big payday. To risky.

The areas Canelo is better are few IMO. A little bit quicker handspeed/combos...etc
One thing about Canelo: he DOES protect his short stocky body very well with his big thick arms - which COULD take away one of GGGs main strengths: bodyshots.
After that - its hard to find areas where Canelo is superior to GGG.

But if GGG keeps it long and uses his hammer-like jab he should break Canelo down. GGG is a monster puncher - Canelo has never been hit by such power. I doubt Canelo can overcome that. I doubt he can out-box GGG too, especially if GGG uses his great jab.

Overall GGG is probably just too powerful for Canelo. Even if Canelo comes in with legit middleweight power - GGG has a proven granite chin.
Does Canelo hit as hard as Lemieux or Stevens? I doubt it - and these were legit middleweight monster bombers. They couldnt budge GGG. Is Canelo huge like Murray of Jacobs? No.

Canelo - unless he lands brilliant blazing combos probably wont budge GGG either. So how can he win?
For me unless GGG gets old overnight and/or Canelo can land blazing combos over and over, while not getting hit in return - you get my drift here. -......, Overall, I expect a good fight, with Canelo looking very good at times but in the final analysis I have to go with GGG.

Canelo is a good fighter. He throws fast accurate combinations and can counter like few others can.

His biggest problem area is his ability to punch on the move. If GGG wants to test Canelo's power and speed, I expect to see him use his feet and throw crunching jabs for the first round or two.

If these 2 go to war right from the start, i can't see this going more than 3-4 rounds. Think of a Hagler Hearns type of scenario.

With all the pride on the line, this is set to be an explosive match from the opening bell, and I cant see Canelo backing down after all that has been said and done over the last few years. Unlike Chavez Jnr, Canelo will go out on his shield because he is not a pretender, or weight drained like Jnr was.

I think GGG and Sanchez really believe that Canelo is a relatively simple assignment, even though they are treating this like its the toughest fight GGG has ever had.

Styles make fights and the winner will be the one who can adjust his style to outmatch and outdo the other.

My money's on GGG because he can fight many different ways. He can Box and he can fight. But either which way he can give and take a punch better than anyone Ive seen for a long long time.

I'm going to say I think Canelo quits in the second half of the fight after taking several knees and falling quite a way behind on the cards as that's what happened in a dream I had.

People will be reminded that GGG dominates smaller men. Won't be as brutal as the Lemieux fight because Canelo is better that david and GGG is clearly a bit older now. Fight is spirited for 3 rds and canelo pulls ahead on points.... but then the tide shifts noticeably as GGG starts to land his hardest leather around the 4th round. Fight waved off in the 8th before things have a chance to get gory.

GGG by late TKO rounds 9-10.5 if not a half round sooner.

Then maybe Canelo can redeem his Floyd and GGG loss by taking
on that vicious MMA guy who almost beat Floyd. Inserted my sarcasm in case you did not know already

Golovkin will have to fight both Alvarez and Oscar's personal referee, but I think Golovkin will still get the knockout...................Golovkin and Sanchez both know that Oscar owns all the officials and will have to knock Alvarez out to get a draw.........................this could be another rip-off by Vegas officials......................only thing that tells me that it could be almost fair if the fact that Alvarez has a rematch clause, Golovkin was not allowed the same, but shouldn't need it. Why was Golovkin not allowed a rematch clause?

I got GGG by late TKO. I feel his only chance to win this fight is by stopping Canelo. If it goes to points there's absolutely no way GGG will get it. Nevertheless, I think it's going to be a great fight and I'm really looking forward to it.

    GGG late stoppage.

I think people are underestimating the size difference a little and overstating the Jacobs fight. When looking at fights sometimes we get too in-depth and miss the obvious things. Canelo is going to be hit with shots that carry power he really isn't used to. That's going to affect him mentality, no doubt. Not that he isn't capable of getting around that but I think it's going to take a toll on his body. He looks ripped af and that much muscle can give stamina issues; we already know he doesn't like to work for the full 3 minutes of a round and against GGG you're going to have to.

Say what you will about GGG but his chin is ****ing solid, so I can't see Canelo discouraging him in any way. Everyone can be hurt to the body though so that's where Canelo needs to do his work. That incurs risk on his part, so we'll see. But I see an even start to the fight but Canelo slowly getting worked, responding less and being stopped probably on his feet.
