If a Canelo can take the power I think he'll win a decision.

I'm 55-45 in favour of Canelo at this stage. Hardly a ringing endorsement but there we go.

Alvarez by UD. Bodywork by Alvarez being the deciding factor.

This will be a great fight. GGG for me. But Canelo has a very good mix of skills, power, speed, strength and he cant be ruled out. Will Canelos toolbox of attributes be enough - I doubt it, but it is possible. He is - with the exception of possibly the huge Jacobs - the biggest threat to GGG so far.

I know that Canelo will rip monster body shots on GGG, and he has to if he wants to have a chance to win. If GGG is not able to pick off Canelo's body shots, or make Canelo pay when he throws them, then I think Canelo will probably take the fight. I am hoping for a fair fight where low blows are warned and penalized. If that's the case then I think Golovkin will be able to pick off the body shots with his guard often enough to still win.

Golovkin. Probably by late stoppage. It's a great fight, I expect Canelo to win rounds early, he has the handspeed, inside defence, and countering advantages, but GGG brings not just power and a solid chin, he's the much better outside boxer. GGG will set the pace from the outside and bring pressure and punching versatility that Canelo won't be able to counter off of easily, surely not for 12 rounds anyway. Yes as the original poster said GGG hasn't dealt with an elite counterpuncher, but I think GGG has shown the skills to suggest he can. If you don't have the foot speed to use the whole ring to stay away from GGG and keep him from being set I think he's going to find you. Canelo doesn't have the physique or style to stay away from him. I agree with @Ukansodoff, by the mid-rounds Canelo will be covering up and backing up more than throwing, and when that happens GGG wants blood.

I am a GGG critic and think he's nowhere near p4p best, I wish more of the other GGG critics could try to be more objective about this matchup and Canelo's chances of exposing GGG's weaknesses.

Sticking with GGG. The timing of this fight is everything but I think he still has enough to beat Canelo. However if it goes to the scorecards expect controversy.

GGG'd better finish him up or floor him multiple times because there is NO WAY he's getting a decision. As a reminder, one judge scored the Canelo-Mayweather fight a ****ing draw.

Still see GGG breaking down Big Red and closing the show by a brutal pair of KDs late between rounds 9-11 and TKO Canelo.
I truly see Canelo backing GGG up after some body shots and inside uppercuts early around 3rd or 4th rounds and then fail to follow up and just eat jabs and gas mid (6-8) rounds.

Solid point and I don't think Big Red makes it into the final rounds
