    No, he still is

Martinez wants to cash out with a Chavez Jr and a Mayweather fight if possible

losing to Canelo would destroy his chances

Sergio has praised Canelo's skills in the past, he's said Canelo ¨is way better than Chavez Jr¨, calling him the ¨next big thing¨, a ¨youngling with a very promising future¨ etc

Sergio knows how dangerous Canelo is, and he knows that facing him after having knee surgery would be too risky, therefore the:

I was at Murray's last fight, not impressed. A young Venezualan kid came to fight and slowed Murray down with body shots.

He'll go six rounds with Martinez, and then end up on his back.

Sexy just came back from a career threatening surgery, the fact that he is fighting again in less than half a year is a boxing miracle, ESB should show some damn respect.

Murray is a decent fighter, and there is still the rest of 2013 available after the fight to make a Canelo/Golovkin/Qullin fight

Canelo would be a big pay day for Martinez, why would he duck that?! Especially when he knows Floyd aint ever gonna fight him

More $$$ in a Canelo fight than a Chavez JR rematch

not a bad fight . serg doesnt want that big time fight right now or else u would be hearin about it from him . after he just got a big pay day an came out as the winner but wit serious injury he take a less risky fight in his hometown but still fight a game fighter who mite or mite no make it competitive. but its more to see if serg feels back 100% so he can start runnin his mouth at pac, floyd, and jr . n canelo and cotto mite get mentioned as well .

I'm sure Sergio is scared of Canelo after seeing Canelo dominate the JrWW division.

It's Canehoe who should step up his game. Instead of fighting 140lbers he should fight atleast a ranked LMW to request fights against Cotto, Floyd and Martinez. It's all publicity in Canehoe is doing. If he hasn't fought a LMW what makes you think he would really fight the reigning MW champion? :yep

    In Sergio's eyes:

Chavez Jr = easy big money fight

Canelo = risky big money fight

Even if he cant get Floyd, if he keeps piling up victories he will be in position to call out Cotto or Pac, or somebody else with a name. Losing to Canelo could ruin his retirement plan.

He's afraid of Canelo as of now, Sergio doesn't want to fight the ginger unless he's 100% sure his body is in top physical condition.

By choosing a fanbase-less chump like Murray instead of cash cow Canelo, not even answering Canelo's challenge or mentioning his name, Sergio is acknowledging that he's afraid

Yeah, it's just publicity, that's why he cancelled his december fight just to put pressure on GBP to get the fight against Cotto, Floyd or Sergio made.

**** outta here. Canelo wants to fight the BEST, he genuinely thinks he's ready and doesn't want to waste his time with small fries and peanut money fights. Leave that to the subpar opposition like Lara or Vanes
