It's called " highway robbery " mi amigo. We Cubans are very well used to this. This is why Felix Savón was a legend, he didn't waste time leaving it in the crooked judges' hands, he KO'd everyone. Erislandy should take notes on Felix!

and here are the Cuban boxers' ages, by weightclasses ...

Yosbany Veitia Soto, age 20 ...
Robeisy Ramirez Carrazana, age 18 ...
    Lázaro Alvarez, age 21 ...
Yasnier Toledo Lopez, age 22 ...
    Roniel Iglesias, age 23 ...
Julio Cesar la Cruz, age 22 ...
Jose Larduet Gomez, age 22 ...

As everyone can see, they are very young with the oldest being 23! There goes the myth of older men fighting young boys! It's actually the opposite, most of the young Cubans are fighting against much older men!

Why was the Cuban guy holding Diaz JR so much holding his hands and **** trapping him inside? running around the ring pot shotting, in pro boxing dude would have been KTFO... these little spoilers practice the spoiling from ****ing childhood LMAO

I'm hoping Alvarez and Cruz take golds in their divisions because I put some money on them to win them. I though Savon beat Joshua by enough to get the nod. Eventhough I put money on Joshua to win the gold and I was relieved he's still in with a chance, I did feel bad for Savon because he didn't deserve to go out.

Thats the thing though, the Cuban system is geared entirely towards amatuer success for its fighters so they don't bother teaching things that would be helpful in the pro ranks.

I have not been able to catch much action live, however I did get a chance to see the Joshua vs Savon fight and what disgusting desicion!!! Uncle Felix was surely turning in his grave.

I'm pretty sure we'll see Lazaro Alvarez vs Oscar Valdez Fierro ( MEX ) battle it out for the gold. You know I'm Mexican and will be rooting for Oscar, but I just hope we get a fair fight. I can deal with a loss as long as it's a fair one.

Right on but Felix Savón is not dead, it's Stevenson! LOL

Yep, that's what I also want, good and fair decisions. ;)

The Cubans are trained " to win " and not look pretty even though they show off great skills. The Cuban boxing schools teach how to score points and win the match. In Amateur boxing anything can happen in just 3 rounds so to win it has to be very effective. And let's not forget those highly biased judges, just ask Erislandy Savón. :-(
