I really have my fingers crossed Gennady could become the next big thing at middleweight.

Good fighter, exciting style and very humble guy. Maybe, maybe. They need to keep him more active:think

 

The amazing thing to me is how hard he punches at Middleweight, when he is a very small middleweight.

Would love to see him drop down to 154 and fight Saul Alvarez.

 

GGG will beat any of them including old Sergio.

 

GGG is gonna be on the Arreola-Klitschko undercard I thought in NYC. Hopefully.

That card is supposed to be around Oct/Nov and Sturm's supposed to fight Golovkin by Sep 25th so if their unification happens he may not be on that undercard which would be okay since he finally gets Sturm. Only way out of that for Sturm may be if he gets a unification with Chavez/Lee or Geale which may be possible since WBO ****ed over Pirog.

If Sturm does duck Gennady yet again with the WBA's accommodation and he is available for the Oct/Nov Klychko undercard you would hope they could get a decent MW since there's a belt, HBO, and undercard to the HW Championship fight to add more reward. Even if they don't get a top MW and HBO isn't particularly thrilled i don't see how they could keep him off the card. Klychko's will make it happen.

They talked to all top 9 rated WBA MW's and Fuchigami was the only one willing to accept this past fight.

Those 3 are the only real top MW's who would probably be available. Any one of those guys would be perfect.

 

Make it Murray. He is completely overrated after getting a gift draw against Sturm and he should in no way be considered a top man. Would like to see him get put in his place.

 

All three wouldn't fight Golovkin imo. Murray and Macklin would make as much dough fighting each other and Golovkin has spanked Quillin in sparring so don't think he'd be too keen either. I'm hoping for Lara as he's in a similar situation to GGG.

What I have read Peter Quillin had very good and even sparring with Gennady...?

I dont know much about Quillin I have only seen few short clipses of him at youtube. How good exactly is he?
Is he not one of those HUGE middleweight contenders who could fight easily at 168 looking at his physical frames?

 

Sturm would **** him up.

 

He's not really HUGE but he is quite big, quite powerful and slick, decent boxer but can fight too.
