Calling Wladamir "exciting" is like calling Floyd Mayweather "quiet and unassuming". End of conversation. :yep

BTW, Povetkin is a very exciting, very busy fighter who usually overwhelms his opponents with the sheer volume of punches he throws. He has some decent power & some great combos to go with his above average hand speed. So far he's shown he has a solid chin too but many fighters can say that until they meet Dr. Steelhammer in the ring. :bbb

BYrd, Brock & Thompson were all highlight reel KO's. I seriously don't know what you're looking for unless it's Wladimir being KO'd, in which case you'll never be satisfied. :D

That is what is the most disturbing.

I don't understand how someone could say Tyson was boring. Or Foreman. Or Lennox. Or Wlad. etc...

They have decapitating, highlight reel knockouts. It makes no logical sense to hate on guys who knock mother****ers out.

Brock didn't belong in there, Briggs and Lyakhovich both would have been better more exiting and anticipated fights at the time.
Thompson may have fought a decent fight by not approaching it with the common stategy of blocking KLIT's jab with an eye...but he didn't belong in there. Chris Byrd was a good fight, but that's because Byrd sacrificed himself in an all or nothing effort, which his experience and style were not suited to.
You can't really brag on performances against people that nobody but KLIT's fans care about...why didn't you mention that IGGY showing...???:D

I still watch boxing primarily for the KO's but I can appreciate when a fighter can totally outclass and opponent, especially an undfeated one, & for unification to boot. Obviously I'm referring to the wide UD Wlad got vs. Ibragimov. Keep in mind that Iggy was undefeated and he had just beaten a very old Holyfield & Shannon Briggs. That has to say something about Sultan's skills & ability to take punches.

People on this site sing the praises of Andrew Golota and he couldn't knock Chris Byrd out could he? Neither could TOS or Oquendo.

Apparently Wladimir is held to a much higher standard, and rightly so.

I do believe both Oquendo & Golota outpointed Byrd and they got screwed by Don King's judges but the fact remains that Wladimir did what those 2 couldn't do, take it out of the judge's hands.

BRock was coming off a highlight reel KO of Zuri Lawrence & a lopsided decision against a sound boxer in Timur Ibragimov.

Klitschko KO'd his ass fairly easily once he found his range & timing.

Ray Austin had just gotten a draw vs. Sultan Ibragimov and once again, Wlad did what Iggy couldn't do, he sent Austin home extra early without even throwing a right hand.

Another highlight reel KO by the way.

Yeah it went the way everybody on the site except Derrick predicted. That was the problem, he'd fight guys that we had a problem with, because the outcome was always a forgone conclusion.

Matchups we would have like at the time...Sergei, Briggs, Valuev, James Toney, Tua...I know you can say something about why not, with regards to each of them but the fans and their desire for good matches were never a consideration.

Povetkin will make a name for himself off this fight. He has the durability, the style and the grit/hunger to take Waldo out.

The only questionmark here is will Waldo be allowed to imitate John Ruiz once again to win a fight the easy way? I say get Robert Byrd and Povetkin has this fight IN THE BAG!
