http://angryfightfan.wordpress.com/2009/02/19/australian-boxing-returns-to-fox-sports-tonight/ Wish someone told me Vea-Azzaoui was off before I wrote that. Anyone know what happened?
I just dont understand why Pitman goes from fighting for a world title to now back fighting journey men(tough one at that) in Clenshaw??? No wonder our fighters continuely struggle to compete with the worlds best..Im sick of them building up good records fighting bums then once they get their shot at a title (and usually get blasted away) they then go back to fighting domestic level opposition..
I guess it's being based in Australia which hinders their progress. Look at Katsidis, after he fought and got KO'd by Casa he backed it up by fighting Diaz and now he is fighting in the 8 man round robin to determine the no 1 contender. He has based himself all over the world to further his career. Blokes like Pittman either have to base themselves o/s or fight domestic bums. Sad but true
Clenshaw v Pittman is exactly what Jamie needs IMO. A tough hit out vs a durable guy that will put pressure on him.
Blah blah blah .............. then step up and get the fuxck knocked out by another Sturm in 12-18 months after beating 5 domestic bums atsch Thank **** Kats isn't doing that.
I think that Pittman would have a lot to gain by basing himself in europe He has a very european friendly style and could probably get quite a following, not to mention good competition
Pitman looked good last time out......be good to see him go round again.....should be a good fight as Josh wont go down easy.....but I think Pitman will stop him.
What do u guys think of the Casserly decision? I had it closer than the commentaters, but i thought Brownlee was robbed, and i think Casserly thought the same.
main event is open for bets on betfair. no money matched , im surprized and happy its on their. what would be the odd ? $1.4 medley $3tui.
pittman needs to start developing some power, hes pretty slick and well rounded but against the top guys you cant just depend on that to win you have to have something to put others of there game and thats power which for me is the one ingrediant he lacks..
I think he needs to attack the body....once thats done his straight left should do the job but needs to get his fighter holding the elbows down a bit lower to open the straight head shot.
