Wlad has a scheduled date for April 25th for Jennings but now there are hold ups in the negotiations on Jennings end. I really hope he doesn't duck out of the fight. It would be a career high payday for him. I hope RNS honors the agreement the teams had in place with Gary Shaw. If the fight falls apart I would look into the following has fall back options forvWlad. Andy Ruiz Antonio Tarver Steve Cunningham Tomasz Adamek (retired and coming off losses but was still fighting top competition and is huge draw in NJ would probably help sell out arena in Brooklyn)
I've seen a few interviews with By, he straight up looks shook of Wlad, dude doesn't want the fight u can see it in his eyes. Coupled now with a new money hungry promoter, I doubt it gets made, but holy **** if Wlad fights Adamek, Cunningham, or Tarver on HBO then **** watching it because what a freak show If the byby fight falls through then just give Fury they fight. I know he's scheduled to fight Christian hammer late February but **** it, cancels it and ditch sky sports or box nation or whetever silly English channel is showing it and get that big payday
Fury has a contract with Boxnation that whoever he fights next is shown on that channel. If he fought Wlad next then Wlad and Fury both would lose out of millions of potential UK TV money.
Don't forget he wants no part of Kovalev, too :verysad Man, this Wlad guy is basically ducking 6 or 7 divisions entirely
Andy Ruiz isn't ready. Guy seriously neds to get his weight issues in check because he does have some skills. I think people would watch tarver get koed. Adamek doesn't want any Jennings isn't ready.
You can't be serious. Andy Ruiz got exposed by a shot to **** Liakhovich. Steve Cunningham has a glass jaw and got dropped by #400 on Boxrec. Got dropped by Mansour twice as well and should have been stopped. Adamek is shot, even Briggs earns the fight more than he does atsch Tarver might be the best American alternative, before Briggs and Arreola.
Well who would you suggest if RNS forces Jennings to duck out? It won't be Fury. I think it will be someone from that list if K2 keeps the date and the venue.
Perez is available, he is coming off a close loss to Jennings which would have been a draw if he hadn't had a point deducted. That is a solid replacement. However he is also scheduled to fight Povetkin for the right to become a WBC mandatory. Which if he follows Jennings and Rock Nation Sports path of least resistance he may skip out to. If you had to ask me I think with HBO in the mix they will use Cunningham or Glazkov as a replacement. They are scheduled to face off on HBO in March for the righht to be a Wlad mandatory. It's an easy fight to make with one of them and the other can fight someone else for the mando shot down the line.
What about Huck? Can he be ruled out? This would be a huge payday (and mismatch) for both Wlad and Huck in Germany.
