i agree. i expect sultan to come fit and ready. i dont expect the sultan who fought ray austin. i expect the best sultan ever. however, i can rationalize this pick by simply stating 3 observations.

1-sultan does move a lot. however, he tends to float into the punch zone at some point every round. it's just guys like Holyfield, Briggs, and Austin haven't made him pay enough for it. wlad will.

2-sultan is a sucker for the straight right. being a southpaw makes it so. moreover, i noticed against both austin and even briggs and holyfield whenever they came forward to throw the straight right, they had some good success. holyfield shook sultan up pretty good early in the fight then in the last round.

3-sultan's chin is not that good. it's not glass but imo it's no better than average.

hey, it's a risk. i think it's a 50-50 propostion. im sure cardstars aint too sure either :yep

but i dont want anymore bets. ive got 2 with polymath and cardstars on wlad-sultan and 1 with The Punisher for Peter-Oleg. I don't want to be sporting Waldo avatars for the next year

 

yeah we understand each other. if sultan makes it into round 7, i sport your avatar for 1 month. if sultan gets laid out before then, u sports mine.

my favorite is obviosly wlad. i also like joe, pacman, brewster, pavlik, vitali, haye, povetkin. my all-time favs are lennox, marciano, joe louis. there are too many more to list.

i only really dislike the guy in my avatar.

 

deal. ill take your bet since id love to stick u with a scam cheater avatar but i didnt want to accept more than 2 but screw it. if i lose i sport your avatar third since i accepted 2 earlier bets. the order would be: Polymath, Cardstars, FourtyOunce, Punisher (each for a month)

Another thing to consider...Who are the only 2 fighters to ever go the distance with Wlad? Chris Byrd and Sam Peter. Look at their faces after the fights. They both showed excellent chins in these fights. Wlad has only improved since then. Can Sultan take this kind of punishment for a full 12? I say no with certainty. Can he take it for six rounds? I hope to sure as hell not or i am fucccccccccked :yep

9.5 isnt too bad but i say its far below a 50% likelihood. however, like u said he's shifty but he really imo hasn't shown the ability to take a big punch well. Friday and Austin had him down 2x. Holyfield stunned him on a few occassions. he looked a little stronger against briggs but shannon threw like 10 punches/round. Bigcat gave some pretty good feedback about his punch resistance.

tell u this much, we'll know how good his chin is after saturday cause he will get hit by the right.

 

hey man. i took a chance and lost on my favorite fighter. it was still a dominant albeit lackluster performance. he lets his hands go about 4 rounds too late. the hate this man gets is insane though especially after dominating a top 5 hw w/one damn hand. other guys get passes all the time for fighting a tactical fight but wlad is being crucified.

but im a man of my word, so post the avatar here. but i think the order goes polymath, cardstars, then u each for a month.
