The only judge that scored the first bout for GGG is back for the rematch : how do you explain that? Coincidence?

Weekes should have been fired for that performance.
If that really is the list of officials then the robbery is in with Moretti & Feldman Steve Weisfeld is usually honest Benji Estevez has been brought in for some reason too

Canelo fans getting desperate when they're actually complaining about a judge being re-appointed for scoring the first fight correctly.

Moretti deserves to be rewarded for a good job.

He was competent and had a score which was still too narrow...

    But at least correct.

Shouldn't boxing fans be rejoicing and super happy about it?

OK, imagine if Byrd would have been appointed as a judge for the rematch. Imagine the outrage. The fact is the only judge scoring the rematch who scored the first fight is the judge that scored it for Golovkin. GGG and his team have been complaining about the judges since the first fight, so its not shocking at all. Now I don't really have a problem with Moretti as I think he's a competent judge, but if anyone has a hand in handpicking judges for the rematch it's clearly GGG and his team.

And to your point about his score still being too narrow, that's funny. So let me get this straight : GGG won more than 7 rounds in the first fight? I can barely give GGG more than a couple rounds. The 5th, the 7th, the 8th and 9th maybe if I'm being kind. What other rounds did GGG win? To give GGG more than 7 rounds, you've got to be scoring rounds extremely favorably for GGG. What are you just giving rounds to GGG for just showing up and not getting knocked out?

Canelo won rounds 1,2,3,4,10,11,12 and arguably rounds 6, 8 and 9. Splitting the close "toss-up" rounds, it was a 8-4 / 7-5 victory for Canelo. If you really really were in the tank for GGG and tried hard you could maybe give GGG 7 rounds. If you somehow give him rounds 4 and 10, and give him 5-9, that's being extremely kind to GGG, and he's undeserving of that score, but giving him more than those 7 rounds is downright criminal.

    @shadow111

The media had it ranging from 116-112 to GGG to a draw.

When over 90% think you lost the fight, you lost the fight.......

Moretti has been reappointed as he was the only judge of the 3 which had a scorecard close to that of both boxing media and fans.

Even Canelo thought Byrd's card was wrong.

@OpinionOfACasual A collection of opinions full of inherent biases and group think mentality does not prove who won a fight. Going into the fight, GGG was seen as an unstoppable force and many of those watching went into the fight looking for reasons to score rounds to GGG, for coming forward, etc.

It's true that the majority polled thought that GGG won. Those people are not expert judges, they are not looking at the finer points of boxing and paying attention to the intricacies of what happens during rounds.

Many people went into the first fight fight believing that Canelo got favorable scoring vs Trout, Lara, Mayweather, even Khan, and went into the bout looking to score rounds for Triple G. Many people went into the first fight with a mindset that close rounds go to the fighter coming forward.

That's how we arrived at this situation. The minority of us who actually look closely at what happened had Canelo winning, and that's the group I want to be with. Rather than the dumbed down biased majority, who go into fights with biases and agendas to give rounds for effort and style rather than quality landed punches and defense, I'm happy to be in the pay-attention-to-details minority who isn't affected by the noise or popular opinion.

Boxing fans should, yes. And they probably do.
But there are a number of fans who don't want fair officianating obviously.
