Very skilled, very good speed for 175, not Kova power but still very good power I will be honest, I had seen highlights of him but believed Barrera may be too much He simply schooled a prime, top 5 175 Barrera & made it look easy. Barrera is a well schooled Cuban boxer. Bivol made easy work of a very good fighter Bivol vs Kova? Great fight. I believe Bivol would win rounds off Kova, outbox/outwork him, bust him up. BUT Kova could end him in any round with his power... 50/50 bout IMO. Bivol vs... Beterbiev Gvozdyv Kova All great bouts...
I think his lack of power would do him in against all three of them. Beterbiev he may have a chance with, but I think Artur eventually catches him, Gvozdyk is just as fast as he is, and hits just as hard, if not harder. Kovalev is a level or two above Barrera, Bivol wouldn't be all that willing to let his hands go as freely with the Krusher, he gets stpped late.
Bivol is one good fighter, no doubt about it, but Kovalev is extremely dangerous for anyone. Kovalev beat SOB Ward two times, in the first fight Kovalev won by decision, in the rematch Kovalev won by disqualification if you follow the rules of boxing. Take a look at those low blows, they were illegal! Take a close look: This content is protected
Wow, this is surprising. I thought you were a big Bivol supporter. My personal opinion, I think he could be a star but he needs to fight out his Main Events contract and sign with on e of the big boys, (Hearn, DLH, Arum) if he wants to make real money. Duva & Main Events are a second tier promoter, he will only get second tier paydays (like Kovalev) sticking with them. I think Dmitry is good enough to beat anyone at LHW including Kovalev, whether I'd favor him over the Nail or Krusher IDK. Would have to say to even to be anything other than 50/50, though Sergey would probably be the slight betting edge.
The only ooster I can recall who does not normally like boxers from Bivol's part of world but was very complimentary of him back before he had 5 pro fights was that Jake Lamotta poster. He is welcome on the Bivol bang wagon all the rest can slip, hit their heads and hopefully get run over by it.
Bivol is good and will be a fun fighter to watch, but he’ll get his first lesson from Sergey. Kovalev is a man on a mission right now.
