I'm never one to use terms as "exposed" or "overrated" but in Oganov's case this is a prime example of being "exposed".
George Foreman said the sport of boxing is easy if you have a good jab. Oganov had no jab and got hard boxing lesson. Pavlik has jab that blasted Miranda backwards big difference.
Check out his record. They were all either utter novices or tomato cans: www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=16978&cat=boxer To say that this guy's record was PADDED would be an understatement.
Yeah, but not quite as bad - Yory Boy Campas is light-years better than anybody on Duddy's record. This said, given how greatly Duddy struggled with Campas, I would expect him to also get exposed when and if he steps it up.
I agree. The "exposed" term gets tossed around too much (like "shot", "robbery", "glass jaw", etc.) but in this case I think it's warranted.
Well, he looked good on a Showtime bout and won by knockout so I think it will raise his stature. It might get him on the network again. I was happy for him.
I agree with MSS that it lands him another bout on a network, even if it's just as an opponent. He's not only pretty good, he's exciting because of his punch output. And you know he's going to show up in shape and ready to compete. Can't see him ever beating an elite fighter, though.
It should help get him a little recognition- Zuniga was mainly looked at as a bum because people didn't know about him outside of his KO loss to Pavlik. He's not a bad fighter, though. This probably helps Pavlik's resume look slightly less thin, as well.
