    What BP said.:deal: I have no idea why some guys get robbed, but in this case, there was zero reason for it, he had the home country and home judge advantage. He just didn't do enough to win the match in the judges eyes. And most viewers were influenced by the commentators.

    Apparently it was actually a fair decision so it was nothing like ward kovallev

    When any poster that supported that decision cries robbery just tell him like any fight ' it could have gone either way'.

    Or that it was borderline, more than likely like 99% sure it was a robbery, but it was borderline which makes it completely okay

    Are you serious Bro.? You just wrote an article on "boxing business" and I have to answer this for you?

    OK here goes; How is an awkward southpaw with 5 ko's in 30 fights, 5 losses, a sketchy personal history, a 2nd rate, east-coast promoter, no Spanish, and no charisma "clearly the money guy?"

    Farmer is Zahir Raheem, who pulled off the biggest upset in boxing over a superstar in 2005 and then disappeared. The lower weights are owned by two guys, Arum and DLH, they want their Mexican and Puerto Rican fighters to fight their own fighters, and if they have to, each others. That's it. Now if a Brit or a Jap gets involved now and then, why not? More money. Those are reach countries with local PPV rights, Inner-city Philadelphia aint.

    Boxing people NEVER want a tricky southpaw with no power at the top, it ****s things up for everybody because the fans don't tune in for them, and they will beat your fighters. IF they do, then what? You don't want to promote him so like Raheem he's just out in the cold.

    As far as "the American Judges" blah blah...Dude please, Americans take bribes too.

    This was a ridiculous affair with a black American who was WAY better than the Japanese clubfighter he was in with. I watched the Brit feed and they had it 119-110.

    Blah, blah, blah. Did you listen to Lederman, Lampley and Kellerman? Case closed. He was the money guy and this was his coming out SHOWCASE fight on HBO. He lost, the judges had it right, get over it.

    And when have Brit TV commentator judges got ANYTHING right? I regularly criticize their scoring on a weekly basis on here.

    I didn't defend Ward-Kovalev. As I have said 100 times, I had Kovalev winning 115-112, and thought that he deserved the decision but every round was close.... and sloppy. Watching from ringside (like the judges do) I'm sure looked much different. And Ward did exactly what Mayweather did TWICE. Immediate Rematch! He said, "OK, you think I lost let's do it again! So what is there to complain about.

    Are we going to se Ogawa-Farmer II?

    Are we going to see GGG-Jacobs II?

    We obviously ain't gonna see Lomachenko- Salido II, now, so where's your opinion on that.

    These guys should have DEMANDED immediate rematches. They didn't Ward and Mayweather did.

    Let's face it: if Ogawa was an American and Farmer - a foreigner, the decision to announce Farmer as the winner would be called robbery as well.

    No, not true. Watch the fight again.

    Was it a controversial decision? Ok. Was it a robbery? No it wasn't. It's one of those fights which judges hate, I'm sure, and it's easy to understand why -- whichever decision they arrive at, one or the other side would definitely complain!
    Maybe they should have declared a draw after all indeed.

    Exactly was a close fight could have gone either way, why are you calling it a robbery, lot of close rounds etc etc

    I also think that in the spirit of Andre wars, they should have the re rematch in Japan in the middle of no where ,with 3 Japanese judges and ogawa is allowed punch farmer in the balls.

    That's the only way to make this right

    Missed this one as my TV was playing up. Some mixed responses here though

    What scale of robbery are we talking? Pac-Bradley? Sturm-anyone? Or just generally the wrong call?

    Right call for a change, it was one of those Kovalev-Ward type, power puncher vs pitty pats you see what you want to see type matches.
