Ams and pros is like comparing baseball and cricket, they have obvious similarities but they are fundamentally different. We'll only really know when he eventually steps up, having said that he does look a tad fragile
To be fair to him, he did have a lot of troubles leading up to Olympics, so he wasn't training hard enough, might be a reason he preformed badly. But his styled is not suited for the pro's, like whats stated before his punch res and power is questionable. and to be honest he is getting a good wedge through the am setup and working at subway. he will easily get a media after he retires. just seems better to stay what he is doing.
I don't reckon Wilder should mind if he wants to borrow the "Bronze Bomber" moniker. There can be one on either side of the lake.
Well let's not go blaming his performance, when Florentino is a legit talent (both brothers are) and simply bested him on the day.
Doesn't matter if he doesn't become a world champion, neither did Herol Graham and many others. There are seems to be a sense of "He won't get to world level, so what's the point?" here. Just look at how happy Frankie Gavin was to win the Lonsdale or Woodhouse to win the English title! Ogogo, Etches, Ryder, Eubank Jr, not a bad quartet at MW coming through. Some interesting fights to be made there. Anything that Ryder/Etches/Eubank Jr should go after the English title, Qato is a good, learning fight for either of them. Or does it get them too close to BJS...?
Apparently all the Olympians GB contracts expire in April & the WSB season finishes in May Hopefully we'll see the majority of the 2012 lads turn pro.
