Eubank almost killed O'Sullivan in the ring. It was a non-stop beat down from round 1 until his corner finally stopped.
Eubank Jr did a number on O'Sullivan there was a gulf in class as above he wanted no more of what he was taking which was a one sided affair that had it of gone on he would of been stopped or ko'd. For all the talk of Ogogo wanting Eubank Jr last night should of left everyone in no doubt it would be a short one sided affair ending as soon as Eubank Jr put it on Ogogo.
Spike landed two heavy shots. One made Eubank hold. And Eubank took the shots easily. The rest of the fight was an absolute demolition job. If Spike had any chance of winning, Collins would have kept him in there. Agree. Not even an IFL interview.
Unluckily for spike a repeat of SN old ear injury destroyed his balance, making him a sitting duck for CEJ. We will never know but spike didn't perform in there. He is s very hard puncher though. Not that he is in Eubanks class overall as an athlete , but not being able to keep his balance or throw a punch is a bit of s handicap for a puncher isn't it?
Well, that's if you accept the ear-story. I doubt the ear would have been mentioned if Gary O'Sullivan had won. You'll accept it of course, because you're that guy who thinks boxing is somehow a national sport so is quite pro-Irish regardless of, well, anything. Good luck with that.
the way were talking about ogogo vs spike. really we should be talking about ogogo vs eubank at this point in his career but things havnt worked out for him it shows that the amms is a different sport. happens to alot of top amms. campbell and stalker to be most recent
This thread reminds me of the one when Luke Campbell lost a while back with people saying he was a hype job and was finished. He's done alright for himself since.
Ogogo is no Cambell He looked terrible last night. I'm always quick to defend any boxer as I know how hard it is. But he got made to look literally an amateur. Like a 10 fight one at that. Was totally dumbstruck with a southpaw counter puncher. Surely he's seen one before?
I don't know if anyone else noticed but his eyelid on his left eye looked a bit droopy after the second round KD, which is generally not a great sign. Could be a retina issue and would definitely give reason to end the fight. That said, he was still terrible and looked really fragile in there. Cunningham was timing him really well and Ogogo just looked so predictable. Someone must have made good money on that bet
When they listened into the corner, you could hear his trainer speaking to Ogogo and saying something along the lines of 'Maybe you've detached your retina', it was definitely droopy so could well be.
If it turns out that ogogo did suffer a serious injury a lot of people on here will have to grovel......
not been impressed by ogogo that said it was obvious he had suffered damage to the eye and to be fair he was not gonna win that fight so a good decision to stop it by his corner.
