Yeah I totally agree. JP is a fantastic looking boxing with more skill and speed then basically every fighter Froch has ever fought combined. But at the sametime I'm am not sold on him and wont be until he beats schools a guy like Froch.

I will also say this...IF Jean PAscal was an american he'd probably have had a number of fighter on HBO by now because of how flashy his skills are. And because of that people probably wouldnt be being as hard on him as they are currently.....that or he owul dhave been exposed because he would have had to have fought better fighers...one of the two.

I don't believe a word of this. Despite being french canadian, He's had quite a few fights on Showtime and ESPN and they're almost always very very pro-Pascal even on his mistakes. He also speaks english very well so it's not like THAT is hampering him. If Pascal didn't take time off every six months because of an injury, he'd be a very well marketed superstar. The problem is he keeps taking time off due to injury and not only does that make him rusty and take away a bit of his flashy ability..it severely hampers his ability to develop as a boxer. He could be a star but at this point he may too far behind to hit that potential.

Why? Are Bute fans blind or hypocrytical?

Or did Bute ever get a gift from the judges? Or was he saved by the referee against Andrade? Would most other top referees have stopped Bute on his feet in the last 30 seconds of the fight? Would they have let Bute get KOed after the end of the fight? If they had done so, would it have been the correct decision?

Bute was helped by the referee, because he was allowed to clinch too much. He was also helped in the last 30 seconds when the referee bought him a couple of seconds, before the KD. Would it have altered the end-result if he had not helped him like that? It's not at all obvious it would have.

Anyway, even if Bute had benefited from dodgy refereeing in a big way, does that mean that Bute fans aren't allowed to wish that other fighters are refereed correctly? Does it mean that from now on, all Bute fans should just keep their heads down and not talk about referees or dodgy decisions? :blood

Hey, would you mind going over the injuries that he's had...I've only heard about the sholder that was injured before. Will they impact his career long term?

There`s probably bent judges over there where you are when you lot hold boxing contests. You mentioned one of Junior Witters fights, didn`t erm Tim Bradley win that fight to get his belt? Was that bent refereeing? You talk shite pal, sorry.Carl Froch will probably ko him anyway,so if Pascal gets carried out on a stretcher would you say"that fight was stopped unfairly, bent judges".

 Very true. It's to be remembered that Jermain Taylor fought Jeff Lacy for no title AND LESS MONEY, than face Froch!!

The biggest farce of a decision ever in any boxing match imo was Ken Buchannen v Roberto Duran.Roberto Duran was ahead on points but you tell me the justification of taking a champions belt off him from a punch below the waist rendering the boxer in agony. That punch was even landed AFTER the end of the round.Buchannen well deserved a rematch and it would`ve been more fairly officiated in Britain.Duran should been disqualified for that.

    Prove it.

And a statement by Froch's promoter doesn't count.

I'll go ahead and save you the time - you can't prove it, because the fact is that the details of the Taylor/Lacy purse have not been released.

Hennessey is going around claiming it to be true, but he is hardly objective or credible when it comes to how much money Taylor made when Taylor turned down a fight with his guy.

A chance, yes. But not a very big chance. This is the UK, not Germany, or Oscar in Vegas. Look at another recent Hennesey promoted fight, Witter vs. Bradley. It was a very close fight and many thought Witter had just done enough, but they gave the decision to Bradley.

I don't see anything that makes me think there is going to be a robbery, and I'm wondering why certain people are brining the issue up, seems like they are working on their excuses already.
