What do you think about this? No way I repeat ABSOLUTELY no way Provodnikov beats Bradley. So Roach's miserable form will continue.

I feel bad for Roach in a way. His fighters have been getting put into terrible style match ups and fights where a win was unlikely regardless of who was training them.

He's the best coach in the world now that Emanuel Steward is gone and his recent record does not do him justice.

What are you talking about terrible style match ups? :patsch

Chavez Jr is an idiot who wanted to train in his damn living room and smoke weed instead of going to the boxing gym.

Manny Pacquiao neglected his defense and got KTFO.

Khan had all the advantages to beat Garcia but instead of using his brain tried to be macho and got his shakey chin crumbled AGAIN!

None of them were style issues whatsoever.....and Roach has never been the best trainer.....how can you be the best trainer when you don't teach your fighters no defense?

Boxing is the art of hitting and NOT getting hit!!!!!!

I feel like, what with the creation of reality shows like 24/7, and the heavy promotional packaging that goes into a PPV event, that the role of the trainer has been overhyped. It's good television to show the guy in a fighter's corner, talking about strategy, pitting one general against another for tactics, etc. I think the role of a trainer in a boxer's formative years is absolutely critical, but the boxers at the World-Class, Elite level have already thoroughly developed their styles and techniques for the hours upon hours of sparring, training etc. As such, I think the amount of progress a trainer can make on an already-existing world class fighter in the span of 2 months has been sensationalized to an extent for the "24/7" era.

If he lost a decision to Herrara then he's going to lose a decision to Bradley.

Roach knows how Bradley fights pretty well though

    Bradley by Headbutt KO

I'm just talking in general, ANY of these fighters we follow. Be it Pacquiao, Mayweather, Marquez, hell any of the guys who've gotten this far after a likely extensive amateur background and years of professional fights.

    X 2

More like, his fighters overachieved and thus, the expectations were far too high for them to continue to meet the standard.

Garcia is #1 for sure now, not Roach.

    X 2

Except the Khan part. Yes, he fought very stupid, but no, I don't think he's capable of fighting smart against Garcia for 12 rounds. Would pick Garcia in a rematch any day.

I thought Eric Brown was his trainer, if so Eric is a trainer at wildcard I also think Roach has been in Provodnikovs corner in a few of his fights with Brown so in reality that means this isnt news
