It is strange that the last 2 wins have made boxing fans have more questions than answers about Joshua.

I dont think Takam is anything special. He just wasn't quite good enough to make the most of the opportunities Joshua left open - would a slightly better fighter would make more of it? Even against Klitschko, movement seemed to make AJ look ponderous - the HW division is a bit devoid of the type of fighter that might beat AJ though, but could AJ cope with a prime fighter, who can box and move, and is world level? I have my doubts now.

I would agree but who's going to do it? No Fury and who's to say he can get back. Klitschko gone...

That's the bit I'm on about mate. It's subjective btw even Joshua's bum boys said it was unintentional.

The stoppage was premature..Takam took some unanswered shots but his body language was still good. He looked coherent and aware.

If you think Wilder now beats Joshua, I honestly don’t know what sh*t you guys have been smoking.
This is the Wilder that got beaten up by Duhaupas, rocked by Molina and pushed hard by Spzilka.
What we saw tonight was a very tough fighter in Takam taking a thrashing and showing a lot of heart, and Joshua won every round.
Joshua also beat him every department, at range, on the inside and had him going backwards for almost the entire fight.
Wilder does not have Takams chin and will be lucky to survive the first onslaught. Its only that hail-mary right hand that has saved the bomber on multiple occasions, but thats all he has. Just that one get-out-of-jail trick. Footwork is rubbish, balance apalling, timing terrible and chin questionable.

Out of Subject, but what the **** has happened to Sky's Coverage,it's disgusting.I'm lucky i managed to find Showtime's Stream,it's 100x better,Sky Messed up so much,No one outside the UK could get Takam's interview, some of the shots were crazy.Froch,Bellew,Nelson their rest are okay those three together are just too much.On AJ,people are going a bit too harsh on the stoppage, look at it again,he took clean shots, legs were stumbling, and it was the 10th round, not the 1st or 2nd.It was not exactly Froch Groves as that was tight,AJ was expectedly beating Takam, who i give the upmost credit for,he could have just came and got the cheque, but fought it out.As for AJ,not convinced, again all that muscle slows him down it is soo obvious.Wilder beats him for me and with Parker it would be interesting,he is not this Mike Tyson,AJ still a lot of dodgy questions about him

With Joshua it is a concern how he hasn't really progressed much stylistically in the last 2-3yrs or so. His camp seems to have fallen in love with his power. He is looking more and more ponderous and raw in the ring.

Don't get me wrong, is power and combination punching are excellent, but his movement, boxing IQ and fight generalship are lacking. A man of his size should really seize control of the fight with the jab far more than he does.

I'm wondering if he has reached the point where changing trainer would be of benefit, if anything to try to add something new to his game. He could do worse than do a few camps with the Kronk, try and adapt some Lewis/Klitschko type attributes into his game.

Rob Mckracken is a very good coach along with Adam Booth my top two in the Uk.I doubt Rob wants him to fight like that,he has said thay numerous times.I think having foreign influence might benefit, maybe someone like Virgil Hunter.AJ looks like a David Price waiting to happen,i believe Wilder will be the man to do it,his style is all wrong for AJ

The stoppage was an absolute disgrace.

Takam was punching back. He took a few hard ones there but he was ducking and hitting back.
It's not at all unreasonable to actually guess that Takam was about to launch a counter attack on a gassing Joshua.
It was too early in the round to believe AJ could sustain the attack much longer without leaving himself vulnerable. He was tired.
Takam had won the previous round.

    Anything might have happened.
Joshua may well have scored a legitimate stoppage within the minute. He should have been given that chance too, instead of a gift TKO to protect the record.

I think we’ve got to put things in perspective, he had a broken nose from the 2nd round, at that point the fight changed some what and he took more risks. Yes, he took some shots but he was never in trouble and won every round. It was an awkward opponent, had Takam been a big puncher he would’ve been more of a threat but I imagine Joshua would’ve boxed much smarter then.

Personally I don’t think Wilder is a problem. I think he struggled with Takam’s lateral movement and the fact he is short made him awkward to hit. If Fury came back at his best I’d probably make him favourite but unlike Wlad, Joshua would have no qualms about pulling the trigger and going to war...

I actually think a peak David Haye would have caused him problems, unless he showed something we haven’t seen yet...which is possible...think Joshua would struggle to land clean and unlike Wlad would take a few shots...

A peak David Haye would run away for 12 rounds with the PPV money under his arm mate.

We seen it against Valuev and Klitschko.

No doubt he’d run, but he’d have far more success than against Klitschko.

AJ always takes risks. His style stays the same. He's admitted it himself, he likes to brawl a bit.
Except he usually isn't in with any sort of risk. And Takam didn't pose a huge risk either.

AJ did okay. This is his level. It's world level.

Fact is, not everyone is going to roll over like Charles Martin, Kevin Johnson, Eric Molina.
