Oh.My.God. Bute vs Jessie Brinkley ?

The goal is to fight Miranda. But Pantera knows he's the only credible opponent out there for Bute at the moment so he's asking for a lot of money for the fight. More then what Interbox and HBO are willing to pay him.

Interbox tried to make fights with Pavlik, Hopkins and Johnson. But They couldn't reach a deal for a reason or another.

That leaves Miranda/Brinkley or no fight at all for Bute in April. There is simply nobody else.

 

When i heard this the 1st thing i thought was 'what a mismatch'

It's not his fault that he's a mandatory challenger.

 

It was an eliminator for the IBF #2 spot. Brinkley isn't Bute's mandatory. That said, most of the others in the IBF top 15 are either (a) tied up with the Super six, (b) guys Bute has already beaten or (c) even bigger scrubs than Brinkley.

 

I think Brinkley is one tuff cookie, last night he showed what a hungry, determined, focused vet could do. If he could bring all that into a Bute fight it could make it interesting.

 

It's not sure that he's next but he could be.

If Mirnada doesn't sign soon it may happen in april.

I think the best scenario would be to fight Miranda on HBO on April 17th and then fight Brinkley this summer in Romania (Easy homecoming fight at home). This would clear the way for a Pavlik fight at the end of the year.

 

The thread starter is a frochette. Frochette's are like *******s on peds. There is no reason to take him seriously. He is a worse poster than Pavlik is Champ and Calzaghe1979 combined.
