Bob Arum has really made some bad business decisions that last several years.....

Arum is a man who for the past several years has shown a history to publicy ridicule and demean his own fighters by calling them greedy, as according to him, they were asking for more than what they could bring in to the event......

Arum is a man who at one point in the past, had the two best fighters p4p under contract with him, but he (Arum) refused to recognize them as such.
I'm talking about Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez....two terrific talents fighting at the top of their game, but Arum was too busy and too greedy to promote them as the top class in their sport.
Too promote Mayweather Jr. and JMM as the best p4p in the sport would mean that he had to pay them as such, and he (Arum) was too greedy, and unwilling to do that.

.....both Mayweather and JMM left Arum as soon as their contract with him was up, for failure to oblige by his promoter duties and promote them and pay them properly.

It would'nt suprise me in the least that it is Bob Arum who is holding this fight up, because he's going to be in a bad spot if Margarito who is going to be a really live underdog, pulls off the upset.

I think Arum realizes that Margarito is a bonafide threat to his cash cow.
....I dont know the specifics of Margarito's remaining tenure with Bob Arum, but I know that Margarito has been underpaid by Arum for some time.
Could it be that Arum fears that after a Margarito win, Margarito skips town on him, and he's left standing with the loser in Cotto with no big money fight options????

shut the **** up...you understand the business of boxing...:patsch People say that **** to justify the bull**** fights being fed to them...mostly because it's their favorite boxers who are the biggest offenders. The worst thing ever to happen to Floyd was the choice DLH and Hatton made to fight him, because now Floyd thinks that he such a hot commodity that he can duck the riskier fights and continue ****ing over the fans by denying us the fights we really want to see. Cotto on the other hand is the people's Champ...he doesn't seem to be in love with himself...he always say he wants to give the fans and exciting fight, and he does. He doesn't need to act a fool or be a loud mouth or play to the camera to get attention. He really seem to appreciate the fans, and that's why we believe when he says he will fight, who he says he's going to fight.

That is all fine and good but if Cotto gets his brain knocked loose are you going to come out of pocket to help him out...You are a FAN right. You demand that fighters take the fight that YOU want them to take for your enjoyment, it dont matter if they are being underpaid as long as they fight who you want them to fight.

Look dude you and other like you arent boxing fans, you are what you claim Mayweather fans to be..You are a fan of certain fighters not boxing. Anyone that only see big fights that may of maybe actaully be a big fight as the only way to go..I believe that I already got you to admitt that Cotto fighting Oscar would be a great fight, however its a bullsh*t fight for Floyd.

As far as fighters ducking risky fights....Who said???? It was being said that Floyd was ducking a risky fight with Hatton...However as soon as he signed to fight Hatton, hatton became a bum and it was a bullsh8t fight.

Not to get to personal I would guess that your a young bird that doesnt really understand the ways of the world. One day the light will go off for these fighters, and if they werent smart they will end up like Meldrick Taylor, a fan favorite that doesnt have a pot to **** in, and those great wars that he was apart of want pay his bills, and the fans like you arent sending him any thank you money, Or Chico RIP who died while in some serious money troubles are you going to help put his kids though school??? Are the fans going to pay the cost of bringing them up???

For the guy in BOXING it isnt only entertainment its thier LIFE, its how they pay the bills and bring up thier young'ns.

Cotto will make this clown and his followers cry again. Should check Margarito's signature, make sure it's not "invisible ink" that disappears, he might have read the contract and thought he was fighting Paul Williams at the last minute to leave the Cotto's hanging. Wouldn't be surprised if partly they wanted Margarito and his people to squirm for awhile for the way they insulted him last year for backing out in the last minute. The excuse about giving up the WBO title doesn't hold either, since he is giving up the IBF one this time to fight for Cotto's WBA title......the same exact stupid thing from last year except he got confidence of beating up the most mentally weak fighter in the game, Kermit Cintron.

please...save me the ****ing sob stories. The fans are already paying the boxers...who do you think buys all the PPV's or tickets?...the fans einstein! We are the ones putting the money in their pockets. You say that the fans are not sending Meldrick taylor thank you money...you're right, because we already sent it, by once again BUYING PPV"S AND TICKETS!!! I don't remember anybody saying that Floyd was ducking hatton...as soon as that fight was anounced I thought...oh boy. Floyd saw how poorly hatton performed at 147 and now he wants to fight him. Also you say i'm not a boxing fan...I was brought up in a boxing family...my father was a trainer in Jersey. I fought as an open fighter in Newark, NJ. I'm a true boxing fan...not like the majority of Floyd fans who are in love with his fake loudmouth gangster style, and always claiming that Floyd would beat any ATG from the past.
