Accidents happen in boxing. A clash of heads here, a slip on the canvas there and a punch where you really dont want one theyre all part and parcel of the calamities and sometimes catastrophes of the sweet science. And regrettably, Amir Khan, proved on April 16 against Paul McCloskey that once again he is his own accident waiting to happen. Ever since a 17-year old Khan dazzled at the 2004 Olympics I became an admirer of his raw abilities that were based around his blindingly fast hands. I watched as he went through the learning curves against Willie Limond to the mature discipline shown against Gairy St Clair. My admiration grew. Yet I didnt quite agree with Don Kings predictably over enthusiastic claim that Khan was the next Sugar Ray Robinson.
