If I was an American fighter in England, and they were booing my anthem, I think it would motivate me even more to perform well. Yah, it's disrespectful, but let's keep in mind who is doing the booing. A bunch of belligerent drunks. Is your nationalist pride really so tenuous, that you can't handle a bunch of morons booing your anthem? Let them have their stupid fun, and realize that the more you whine and complain about it, the more they'll be motivated to keep on doing it. Why? Because it provokes a reaction. You can't demand other cultures to respect everything you respect just because you want them too. If British fans really don't think it's that big of a deal to boo an anthem, and they feel it's just part of the sporting process, then there's really nothing you can do about it. Like I said its not just an anthem thing. For instance, elderly Americans are getting the crap beat out of them in Canada even while just camping by young hooligans.
