In what universe is Chavez's resume anywhere near Martinez's and in what universe did he never want to avenge the loss to Margarito?

Chavez would have the same problems Martinez faced with Macklin, even though styles make fights. Chavez would beat the limited Barker, and would beat the light middleweight Dzinzurik by knockout obviously.

If the Martinez vs Pavlik fight was 15 rounds, and Pavlik wasnt cut so much, he would have beat Martinez.

Pavlik has declined now to the point where Chavez would have a good chance of beating him if they were ever to fight in the future. You could see how much he declined in the Martinez fight.

Prime Pavlik would knock out Martinez.

This is 50/50, but Martinez will most likely win by speed. Speed kills power.

Martinez has got really tired quickly now though, as you saw in his previous fights, so it's all about conditioning. Both guys get tired so it should be interesting.

Rubio is on the Macklin Barker level, and so is Andy lee.
    .

The only real legitimate guys Martinez has fought is Paul Williams and Cintron

Where do people get this notion that Sergio is too fast or hell that he can actually box? He can't. C level Euro fighters like Macklin and Barker were both able to touch him at will. P-Will and Kelly were able to touch him at will and neither of them knew how to cut off the ring.

Chavez will touch him at will.

He's not too fast for Chavez, but is fast enough to land much more timed punches through counters. Chavez will land but Martinez won't bend down like Lee did. His timing, movement and faster hands should win him the fight.

The Barker Macklin fights are poor examples. Barker kept a highguard up and wasn't willing to take risks. Barker never really troubled him, and Macklin didn't do that much.

Arum will line up Chavez with Pavlik if he loses anyway. So it's not all over for him.

Why are people sweating JCCjr? From what I saw Martinez looked cool & comfortable. He is a level about Chavez and will out box him clearly.

His speed has nothing to do with his ability to time though. Sergio isn't too fast for anyone with a pulse at 160.

I agree with you though, Sergio timing his power shots are a big danger for Chavez, especially if he opts to try to fight on the outside, because Sergio has a great feel for getting range and loading up and placing. That said, Chavez likes to fight on the inside, and if he can he will be able to neutralize Sergio because he isn't a good inside fighter at all and he won't have the space to fully load up on his punches.

Barker and Macklin booth were able to frustrate and time Sergio with their jabs and land their shots as well. I see no reason why we shouldn't take those fights into account. Those were C grade fighters who troubled Sergio greatly.
